Day 1 Arrive in Ho Chi Minh - Half Day City Tour
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, where a private transfer will take you from the airport to your hotel in District 1 or 3. In the afternoon, set out on a fascinating half-day city tour. Over four hours, you’ll visit major landmarks such as the Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, the exterior of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market. You’ll also pass by the Opera House, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building, and take a stroll along the lively Nguyen Hue Walking Street, offering a perfect mix of the city’s historical legacy and vibrant present.
Today, explore one of Vietnam’s most famous historical sites — the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extraordinary underground maze dug by Viet Cong soldiers during the war. Watch a documentary video for historical context, then crawl into the narrow tunnels yourself to feel the wartime atmosphere. You’ll visit underground meeting rooms, hospitals, ammunition depots, and the clever “Hoang Cam” smokeless kitchen. Get a closer look at old weapons, booby traps, bomb craters, and if you like, test your aim at the firing range with an AK-47 (bullets fee not included). Don’t miss tasting the local tapioca, once the staple food of the Viet Cong.
Head out for a full-day tour to the beautiful Mekong Delta region. Starting at My Tho’s Boat Station, cruise along the Mekong River to explore its four famous islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, and Phoenix. Visit Thoi Son Island, famous for its green orchards and local craft villages, and cruise through the scenic Chua Canal. Continue to Quoi Son Village, where you’ll experience authentic rural life, traditional crafts, and local culture. This journey blends stunning natural landscapes with rich cultural insights, offering you a real taste of the Mekong’s charm.
