Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in jaipur
  • On arrival at Jaipur International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel.
  • Jaipur, the City of Victory, was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II.
  • It is a well-planned city with magnificent palaces and buildings, built from rose-colored terra cotta, earning it the name 'Pink City'.
  • As the capital of Rajasthan, with a population of over 3 million, Jaipur is a city full of contrasts, featuring bazaars teeming with turbaned elders and jean-clad youngsters, alongside camels, horses, and a multitude of vehicles.
  • The focal point of Jaipur is the magnificent Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds; it is primarily an elaborate five-story facade with projecting windows and balconies, behind which the ladies of the court used to sit and observe life in the streets below.
  • In the afternoon, explore the colorful bazaars of the old city.
  • The evening is leisure time to explore the local markets of the Pink City or experience the vibrant local spirit of an ethnic Rajasthan village-style resort at Chokhi Dhani.
  • Chokhi Dhani has been a reflection of Rajasthan culture for the last 20 years.
  • Initially part of the ambiance for a restaurant, Chokhi Dhani has evolved into a tasteful and authentic symbol of ethnic village life in this colorful state.
  • The name Chokhi Dhani has become synonymous with Rajasthani culture throughout the country.
  • They have created a home with the backdrop of a Rajasthani village, showcasing traditional huts and craftsmanship that will take you back to a time when splendor was unpretentious.
  • Overnight stay in Jaipur.
  • After a leisurely breakfast, commence your day with a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) ? a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes, and spires.
  • Continue on the drive to the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur city.
  • An excursion takes you to Amber Fort. Riding on elegantly caparisoned elephants, approach the palace in the traditional way. The high gateways allow us to enter on these broad-backed animals. Amber was once the ancient capital of Jaipur. Construction of the fortress palace started in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput Commander of Akbar?s army. It was later extended and completed by Jai Singh. The fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, stunningly situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake that reflects its terraces and ramparts.
  • This afternoon, explore Jaipur by visiting Jantar Mantar, an observatory equipped with instruments of astonishing size and precision, including a 90-foot-high sundial. See the Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds, a major Rajput landmark built in 1799. This five-story building in the old city is a pink sandstone masterpiece with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows. The monument was originally conceived to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch the city?s everyday life and royal processions in absolute privacy. The City Palace is the royal residence of the erstwhile King of Jaipur. It houses a museum with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes, armory of Mughal and Rajput weaponry, and swords of different shapes and sizes with ornamental handles ? some of them inlaid with enamel, embellished with jewels, and encased in magnificent scabbards.
  • After lunch, start proceeding towards Ranthambore. Arrive in Ranthambore and transfer to your hotel.
  • The park is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country where visitors spending a couple of nights are likely to spot one of these majestic animals. Once a private tiger reserve of the Maharaja of Jaipur, in 1972 the sanctuary came under the Project Tiger scheme. It covers 410 sq. km and runs from the easternmost spur of the Aravalli to the Vindhya Range. It has both the old fort and the wildlife sanctuary, also known as Sawai Madhopur, after the town, which has some Jain temples with gilded paintings. Apart from tigers, you can see herds of Chital and Sambar deer, sounders of wild boar, Nilgai antelope, and Chinkara gazelles. There are also sloth bears, a few leopards, and crocodiles. Extensive bird life includes spur fowl, jungle fowl, partridges, quails, crested serpent eagles, woodpeckers, and flycatchers. There are also water birds like storks, ducks, and geese at the lakes and waterholes.
  • The rest of the day is free to explore the colorful town independently. Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • Early morning visit to Ranthambore National Park for a jungle safari (on a direct payment basis). Ranthambore National Park is one of the best places in the world to see wild tigers and is the only dry deciduous tiger habitat globally. During the jungle safari, your naturalist will assist you in exploring the park in search of the Royal Bengal Tiger.
  • Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel.
  • 0630 hrs: Early morning jungle safari. Mode of transport: Open Gypsy (6-seater with forest guard) or Open Bus (Canter, 20-seater with forest guard).
  • 1430 hrs: Evening jungle safari. Mode of transport: Open Gypsy (6-seater with forest guard) or Open Bus (Canter, 20-seater with forest guard).
