Day 1 Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park
In the early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to the airport for your 6:00 AM flight to Nyerere National Park. The flight takes approximately 30 minutes, offering stunning aerial views of the Tanzanian landscape. Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip, you will be transferred to your accommodation, where you will enjoy breakfast before embarking on a full-day game drive.
Spend the day exploring the vast wilderness of Nyerere National Park, home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, kudus, wildebeests, antelopes, lions, leopards, the rare African wild dog, jackals, and a spectacular array of bird species. A picnic lunch will be provided at a scenic spot, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the park. After an eventful day, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on a village tour at 9:30 AM to experience the local culture and daily life of the community living near the park. This immersive experience offers insights into traditional customs, crafts, and lifestyles. After the tour, return to the camp for a delicious lunch at 1:00 PM.

This sunset cruise provides a chance to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat. Your guide will also point out unique plant species and explain the significance of the river ecosystem. The diverse scenery includes wetlands, dry grasslands, acacia forests, and rolling hills with panoramic views of distant mountains.
If accessible, you may also visit a natural hot spring, where you can take a refreshing dip, depending on road conditions. In the afternoon, enjoy a packed lunch before continuing your game drive. Later, you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your safari adventure.
