Detailed Itinerary
- After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the jewel of the North, Samburu Game Reserve.
- Arrive in time for lunch at the Camp/Lodge.
- Later in the afternoon, we will head out for our first game drive in search of African elephants, leopards, lions, and the African sunset.
- A tailored game drive to maximize your time and opportunity to explore Samburu National Reserve.
- Enjoy watching elephants wallowing in the brown waters of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
- Observe Reticulated giraffes that dot the landscape.
- Spot the spear-horned oryx, giraffe antelope, gerenuk, endangered Grevy's zebra, and unique Somali ostrich, which are some of Samburu's highlights.
- It is one of the best places to see the beautiful spotted cat, the leopard, as well as birds of prey, Somali bee-eaters, and woodpeckers.
- From Ol Pejeta, we drive to the Mt. Kenya region to arrive at the Lodge/Hotel, where you will be exploring.
- Dinner and overnight accommodations are at the Lodge/Hotel. Optional night game drives to see nocturnal animals can be arranged at an extra cost.
- Sweetwaters is the only sanctuary in Kenya dedicated to the rehabilitation of widely abused chimpanzees, with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible.

- Enjoy views of Mount Longonot, a stratovolcano with an 8x12 km caldera.
- We drive past the small Italian Catholic church built in 1942 during World War II, when Italians were prisoners of war, and Kenya was still a British colony until 1963.
- We arrive in time for lunch, and after a brief rest, we head out for the afternoon's activities.
- We begin with a one-hour boat ride on the only freshwater lake in the Kenyan Rift Valley, which is home to hippos and over 400 bird species.
- Observe pied kingfishers in action and the African fish eagle searching for its primary food source, fish.
- Common carp is the most prevalent fish in the lake.
- Later, we go out for a nature walk at Crescent Island.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge
- Depart from Naivasha early in the morning.
- Travel to the Masai Mara with several stops en route.
- Arrive at the Mara in time for lunch.
- Embark on an evening game drive in search of the big cats of Masai Mara, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, and other species.

- In the Mara, perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the annual migration of millions of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture.
- Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna: lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

- An early morning game drive with a picnic breakfast increases your chances of witnessing the sunrise and observing animals while they are still active.
- The morning serenity is indescribable; you simply have to experience it.
- The Mara River, where river crossings occur in July, August, and September, is the main water body winding through this paradise.
- Hippopotamuses and Nile crocodiles call this area home, making it the best place in the reserve to catch a glimpse of them as they bask on the riverbanks.
- The Sand River is another picturesque area in the Masai Mara, located right at the border with the endless plains of the Serengeti.

- Later, you will retire to your strategically located safari camp for a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay.
- After breakfast, we will head back to Nairobi, arriving by early evening.
