Great location, close to shops and restaurants

Excellent location on the main part of a busy shopping street with lots of great restaurants and food courts close by. Also a 2 minute walk to the beach. The location was really fantastic and so convenient.

It is a bit silly that a hotel like this should charge a resort fee. The pool and pool area was tiny and several times, it was too busy to even use. Apart from the small pool and beach towels, there are not really any of the resort facilities that the bigger hotels offer. We visited the other Outriggers and their pool facilities were definitelyresort fee worthy. It seems that it is commonplace for all Waikiki hotels to charge a resort fee nowadays, but it is really just a way to rip off customers because at smaller hotels like Beachcomber, we arent getting much for $40 per person per day. We paid for full ocean view and even though we were on 24th floor, it is definitely still a partial view. It is impossible to have full ocean view in this hotel because there are taller buildings closer to the beach. It is false advertising to call it Full ocean view. My family members stayed on 8th floor and didnt pay for full ocean view and their view of the ocean was better than ours.

Located across the road from Cheesecake factory. Amazing location. Very central. Great staff.

Tried to contact Reception / front desk as well as housekeeping for over an hour. Left a message as well as nobody got back to me.

Superb hotel, dynamic staff, in the Heart of Lightness

The staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. The housekeeping staff was like a hive of bees. They kept our room in tip-top shape, even when I tried to give them a break and told them that they could skip us for a day. Also, they kept us plied with coffee, which was a delight for me. The restaurant, the Maui Brewing Company, was superb. There was an entrance directly from the hotel, and they supplied us with a discount card to sweeten the choice. The location is in the heart of Waikiki. It would be impossible not to love the positioning, as one is right in the heart of the city.

Nothing that I can think of. Even after Booking.com scared me by writing that I had to check out by 7:00 a.m. the staff set me straight. It was expensive, so if I happen to hit the jackpot and score a major lottery/sweepstakes in the coming years, I will be back! Oh, and one more thing: The room was featured as an offering with "a view of the ocean." If I consider my full view to be 180 degrees, I would say that ocean view came in at 3-4 degrees tops. However, there was that sliver of blue to cheer us up!

Overall, centralized location, comfortable stay.

Hotel staff is excellent! Very friendly, helpful and caring. Location is centralized, making it easy to get to many places. STAFF AT COFFEE shop on site, terrible! rude, young adults that were NOT friendly, or assisting. Need training in customer service!

Pictures of pool are pretty deceiving. Very disappointed with pool. Small. Would be nice if sister Outrigger across street would allow beachcomber customers to use their beachfront pool. No microwave in rooms, $10 charge to use the hotel's microwave. The outside, nite folks from downstairs coffee shop/loud music venue hang out in lobby near bathrooms, waiting to go in, when resident comes out. Not monitored.

Superb hotel overall in downtown Waikiki

Friendly staff, very nice hotel in a great location. Junior suite is a great option with ocean views and plenty of space for family of 4

Pillows were very hard, they did replace them when we asked which was fine. Maybe if they had a selection.

If it wasnt for the staff Id rate it lower!

The location was excellent. 5 minute walk to the beach. 5 minute walk to the International Centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge guy was excellent.

The rooms werent dusted or swept everyday. Got serviced one day but not the next. Doubles are small rooms. Moved to King Studio. No elevators to those rooms. However they were large. We went to one room a/c didnt work. Moved to the one beside but no plates or cups etc so had to transfer everything from our original room.
