Villa Atulya at Ocean's Edge offers a spectacular view of the beach and clean rooms. The swimming pool is great, and kids particularly enjoy the hotel. One downside is that the staff is not always re (Read More)adily available. However, the overall experience is excellent, with attentive and talented staff, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel provides a safe environment and is conveniently located near whale watching and Mirissa city. Overall, guests highly recommend staying at Villa Atulya for a cozy and enjoyable experience.

Lovely place to stay with access to beach

Near perfect relaxing beach stay. Amazing garden that offers complete view of the ocean. Nice little pool makes a family stay so special. The staff Ishaan, Dumidu & others offered all the support for my sons dietary needs. Would recommend to everyone planning to visit Mirissa. Turtle beach is very close. All good restaurants are close by such as Petti Petti. Well spent New Year eve and last 2-3 days of 2023.

The menu was restricted and its understandable given the current situation in Sri Lanka. Nothing to regret in this place.

Relaxing stay, beautiful villa and would totally stay again!

The villa is beautiful. The rooms, open shared spaces, the furniture and art work are all tastefully down and help to make the villa like a beautiful home. The views from the second floor of the waves in the morning and evening are incredible. However, my favourite part was the pool and the garden. The pool is so refreshing and relaxing especially in the evening. There is a large lawn area with tables for breakfast if you wish and plenty of room to relax outside. The villa is about a 25 minute walk to the main swimming beach area along the busy main road, or you could take a 5 minute tuk tuk. I walked in and out on both days, multiple times and it was totally fine. I loved my stay here and I felt totally relaxed the whole time.

Not that I didn't like it but more of an introduction to the house and any relevant information about the area would have been nice and helpful when I arrived. I got my room and a welcome drink but no extra information.

Better options available in Mirissa. Please explore your options before deciding this place.

The property is very expensive for the location and the service offered. There are other much better options available for reasonable rates. I wouldnt recommend this hotel for stay for such a huge price and the service offered.

Would come back here for sure.

Location is stunning. Breakfast was great! Staff is very attentive and polite. Since it is a small property, it is very well maintained and just the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. They even had stay for our driver free of cost.

The villa is just outside the town. It's very peaceful and most of my stay I was the only person there. Ideal for really getting away for some peace and quiet. The gardens are lovely and open directly onto the beach. My room was very comfortable. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful.

I did have some work to get on with and the WiFi was very slow and intermittent. I had to use my phones SIM card most of the time. When there were other guests, it would have been nice if the room was a little more soundproof. But those are small inconveniences.

Although booking.com had breakfast included in our offer, the hotel didnt offer us breakfast stating a clause that was confusing. Also there was no creamer or milk offered with the coffee/tea. That was disappinting

piece of heaven next to the ocean

The location right next to the ocean, what a view! The shower products, shower gel, shampoo, body milk. We liked it so much that we also bought it for home :)). The pool also is great, the food is amazing - we ate breakfast every morning and two dinner. The guys there either don't understand English well, or they are a bit distracted, but one morning we had to go on a whale watching cruise and we had to wake up very early. So in the evening we asked them to prepare some breakfast boxes for us to take with us. In the morning they initially forgot about us, then I think they found 2 boxes there and brought them to us. There were 4 of us and there was no time left to make 2 more boxes because we had to leave the hotel. However, when we returned from the cruise, at around 2 p.m., they prepared a proper breakfast for us and everything was great in the end.

It is not the hotel's fault here, but there is no sidewalk and you have to walk 20 minutes to the city center and to the best beaches, on the side of the road where all the vehicles are honking at you and you are in danger of being hit by cars and tuk-tuks.

Great hotel in Mirissa

The hotel has a great Srilankan feel with interesting furniture & paintings. They serve a great breakfast either Western or Srilankan. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean. Very relaxed atmosphere with a nice pool. All rooms have an ocean view & large balcony with comfortable chairs for relaxing in the evening. Quiet away from the busy road. Within walking distance ( 15 mins )or a tuk tuk ride from Mirissa and lots of restaurants. No beach as such but plenty in Mirissa itself with lots of beach bars.

A small thing but dirty plates & cans of beer not cleared overnight in the sitting areas.
