The dogs at the Homestay.

I am still running around to get back my chain at the Homestay. I happened to forget and leave my Precious Gold chain at the Homestay while checking out and as soon as I reached my home I realized I forgot to pick up the chain which I had kept under the pillow. I immediately called back the caretakers to take the chain and keep it they lied saying the chain is not there. My Holiday turned out to be a nightmarish experience as I had to go back the next day to the Police station and lodge an FIR and the case is still pending as the caretakers have still not owned up to having got the chain.

Tranquil Nest - No tranquillity

The dogs at the property - Sara (golden retriever) & Panda (Labrador). The food for dinner was much better, well prepared by the caretaker Praveen & his family.

1. The driveway leading us to the homestay. Not mentioned in booking.com The driveway is unsealed & smaller cars will take some time to negotiate the length. It's not an issue for bigger 4x4. 2. The uncleanliness of the toilets. Again, I had to get it cleaned by the caretaker. 3. Dirty swimming pool, had to get it cleaned by the caretaker before use. 4. Laundry hanging in front of the home stay. 5. Lack of kitchen facilities like access to microwave & fridge. 6. Dirty pillow covers and mouldy pillows we had to ask for a replacement. 7. Lousy breakfast service. 8. Expensive Dinner food bill.

Room not worth the amount paid. Quality of dinner and break fast - though simple - was excellent.

Food was excellent though a tad expensive

TV in the room did not work - no DTH connection as recharge has not been done. Had to ask for soap / towel etc. Very tepid water in the bathroom. Poor ventilation - cant keep the window open as it faces the passage outside. Bedcover was stained - needs cleaning. Swimming pool was empty - other guests were also very disappounted

We enjoyed the location and nature but to meet the value the activities has to upto date.

The caretakers were very nice and respectful. The food is also good. The location is also very nice and clean. 2 dogs named Panda and Sara are amiable and adorable. Pet lovers will like them.

There are a few things that need to be taken care of immediately. A few of the activities were not working like the swimming pool was not clean, we didn't enjoy the rain dance as there was some technical issue with the machine. Table tennis was there but no balls were in place. Snooker board was there, but no chalk and the tip of the stick was broken.

Property was very well maintained by the caretakers! The game room has enough games to keep you entertained! Caretakers were very polite and took very good care of our requirements!

The road to the property (about 600-800 meters) was very bad! Bedsheets could have been cleaner!

The homestay is in a isolated location with beautiful surroundings. A special mention to the caretakers. They made it a pleasant visit. Would recommend to anyone who is travelling on their own vehicle. The stay is remote and no proper road. It makes for good viewing, although someone using public transport would find it difficult to reach the property.

Amazing stay - Trip with friends ( couple and kids)

Trip with friends (couples) The best part about the stay is food. A small family which take care of this resort is lovely. The food they prepared is delicious and the way the took care of us for any request we made is out of the world. Very polite and humble family. Another good thing is location. Attractive spots are near by from here. Lot of other things were very good like bonfire at night, swimming pool., rain dance, sitting area, music, projector, view from resort just walking distance... We just loved our stay here.

Only thing I can complain is Deluxe room is not very airy..ventilation is little less. No AC.. But fans will be sufficient for the the weather u have in sakleshpur.
