Some people they really try.

I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with our recent stay at Titania Hotel in Athens, a place I once held in high regard. We booked a 'triple superior' room with three beds for two adults and a 12-year-old child. The room description clearly stated '3 beds'. To our dismay, we received two beds and a substandard folding bed the kind youd reluctantly use in camping with a mattress incapable of providing a decent night's sleep. After seven restless nights, my child suffered from back problems. We raised our concerns from day one, requesting a room change. The hotel's solution? Offering us another room in a less desirable part of the hotel, known for its inferior quality. When questioned about the discrepancy in bed arrangements, the response was vague and unsatisfactory, citing that the room 'may provide' either 3 beds or 2 beds plus a folding bed a detail conspicuously absent from the terms and conditions. The photos attached will illustrate the unacceptable bed they provided for a young child. The bathroom sink was another ordeal, constantly clogged and barely functional for basic needs like shaving or bathing. Despite lodging a complaint and their attempts to fix it, the issue persisted. We came for a holiday, not a series of complaints and ineffective solutions. The cleaning service was another low point. Beyond the typical oversight of not replacing toilet paper, they left dirty coffee cups in our room. Even when we requested new cups, they merely added clean ones without removing the dirty ones. Astonishingly, we even found the room service's water cups and dirty gloves left behind in our room. The pinnacle of our grievances was our request for a late checkout, something I had indicated at booking and was willing to pay for. The hotel's response was to 'arrange this upon arrival'. However, every day, we were told to check back later, leading to a frustrating cycle of uncertainty.

Breakfast was very good. Location of the hotel is in the city center, therefore it was easy to visit all major landmarks. There is a nice view of Acropolis from the top floor.

For some reason we had to pay an additional amount for the baby crib, which actually was not a baby crib but a playpen. First time I am charged for such service. The room was already booked for two adults and a baby and the charge should have been in the initial price. In house food is very expensive. The room AC was not working satisfactory, and it was hot most of the time. Reception staff friendliness is average.

Not recommend at all

Absolutely nothing. Just good location.

Old furniture, the mattress were really uncomfortable, the toilet had an awful smell, they forgot to clean our room 2 out of 4 days of our stay, a guy was cleaning the outside windows at 6:00am on New Years Eve, poor sound insulation (could hear people talking from next room), staff could be friendlier, long waiting time for breakfast. The only reason for staying in this hotel was the fact that they were pet friendly (despite that we were not allowed to go to the cafe/restaurant with the dog).

Breakfast was served on the top of hotel and the view was nice. As well, it was possible to use tables outside, that means smoking was also allowed.

The breakfast itself should be much better for a 4 star hotel. I had a room with Acropolis view, but I could hardly see it, due to the position of the room. That was my main disappointment. It was also strange that towels were not already in the room when we arrived, very strange. On request, personal was quick and we got it almost immediately.

Decent place with basic facilities. Walking distance to center.

A decent price paid according to the product received.

According to the items served at breakfast buffet, i think the selling price of 19pp, is not corresponding at all and is a bit overpriced. I think instead, based on the items served a selling price of 12pp would match better. Also i was very disappointed during check in while we had booked two adjoining rooms, no matter our early arrival, knowing the check in time, we were not treated as we should have.
