Very excellant stay, dog friendly and glad we choose the Read House.
Loved the decor and location of the Read House. The staff was friendly and helped out. David at the front desk was patient and very gracious in his time to give me locations to eat and take our dog.
Having just one elevator during our stay proved to be quite the task. A few times, we ended up taking the stairs up to the 7th floor.
I enjoy writing and getting some work done, but the absence of a desk area made it challenging. Room #703 was spacious enough, so next time, I'll make sure to ask for a room with a work desk. If that's not an option, we might consider staying at a different hotel.

This is a must go to place! Beautiful hotel and very attentive staff.
Everything was perfect. Room was exceptionally clean. Spacious. Soft sheets. Loved the walk in shower. All of the staff was very welcoming and the front desk even upgraded my room and gave me two coupons for champagne. The 5 star restr. will not disappoint. Nothing at the Read house is below exceptional.
There was NOTHING not to like.

The shower and sink were not very clean and the shower didnt drain very well.

We had a wonderful experience here and will stay here again the next time we come to Chattanooga.
The building itself is beautifully designed, we loved the architectural style of the place as well as the interior design. Rooms are clean, quiet, and spacious. Located in downtown so there are many places to see and dine right down the street. Half of our stay we didnt even need our vehicle and still had a blast.

Wonderful, comfortable rest after a log day of driving.
Classic old hotel with generously sized rooms. Beautifully decorated for Christmas! Staff was terrific and responsive.
Water pressure in shower was very poor. Only had one working elevator.
