Guests enjoyed their stay at The Old Barn Inn for its authentic Welsh history feel. The owners were friendly and even did laundry for guests. The nearby Six Bells Inn pub offered great service, value (Read More), and large meals. The village of Penmark was described as very friendly. The old-school atmosphere and convenient location near an airport were also highlighted in the reviews.

Disappointing

The location of this inn is very convenient, but it doesn't live up to expectations

The room was very comfortable, staff friendly, and the location is very convenient. The cooked part of the breakfast itself was extremely good.

What lets the Inn down is the breakfast, but not for the reason you'd expect. The breakfast room was very cold, and this is the biggest factor that will make me consider going elsewhere. In addition, the fruit juice was considerably watered down to the extent that I'm not even sure what it was, and the brown toast was poor quality sliced bread. I get the feeling that corners are being cut to save money, but its gone too far, for me at least.

Good

Service and staff. The room was newly painted so we were asking for a replacement. This was quickly arranged with the best effort from the team. I left my ring at the room when checking out, the owner called me soon after and kindly suggested that she would arrange to post it to me. All very pleasant.

Accommodation as expected and good value with breakfast included

Room as expected, comfortable. Decent sized bathroom with bath and shower and good supply of hot water.Staff in bar and restaurant cheerful and helpful. Good internet in room. No external noise. Breakfast prepared to order

Disappointing

Bed was comfy.

The food was reheated mass produced . Frozen mash etc....poor. bedroom was in need of tlc, taps tightening, deep clean etc

Superb

All the staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant/bar was delicious & good value for money. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and cooked to perfection. Our room was very clean, spacious with a comfortable bed.
