The best thing about this property is the staff, they are amazing.

Restaurant was closed, all rooms are located in the attached addition, not the beautiful historic building you see here.

Could do better

Nice hotel food was good. Staff helpful and friendly. Good sized room and comfy bed.

Not enough staff in the bar and restaurant which was the cause of long wait at times. The advertised Hogmanay gala ball was a disappointing night we were sat in the conservatory which was cold. No band just a disco No party poppers etc then the advertised stovies after midnight did not appear.

Close to relatives in Dundee and value for money with a good choice for breakfast.

Plenty of choice at breakfast and items kept being replenished. Husband loved that there was haggis for breakfast and mother in law loved the danish pastries. Mother in law was really impressed with the size of the accessible room.

The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely. The food in the bar was very nice. The breakfast was nice enough too.

The hotel is definitely a bit tired now but was still a good stay. The negative points were the shower head in the room wouldnt stay on the rail and kept slipping down. The bar was very understaffed and under stocked as well, no lemonade, no cola, only 3 fruit ciders left. We were at the Gala Dinner and had to go and queue at the bar to get drinks which involved a long wait at times. For the price of the dinner I didnt feel it was very good value and not very festive, no table covers on most of the tables , no glasses collected and the conservatory was very cold. The firework display that was advertised was cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances so all in all we didnt feel we got what we should have. It felt very disorganised and chaotic. The swimming pool couldnt open when they said it would because the staff hadnt turned up so everyone waiting had to then leave without their swim.

we are above disappointment about the client service of booking.com and the landmark hotel

Nothing - the hotel was overbooked and refused to give us a room - we wait from booking.com to give us a refund.

the hotel was overbooked when we arrived. the clerk at the lobby did not even try to help us to find another accommodation in the area and just told us to manage the issue and the refund with booking.com. No news from booking.com after several attempts to get the refund.

The photos are very misleading Needs refurbished especially the bedrooms

Great self serve breakfast alot of choice. Lovely grounds at the back of hotel. Lovely nature trail along the water just a few minutes from the hotel which was great to walk off a big breakfast!

Rooms a little tired older furniture .one bedside lamp not working. Small,busy swim pool but no jacuzzi. Situated just a little out of the city of Dundee so it's taxis or driving if you want to go further.

Recent stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfy. The hotel and our room were very clean. The dinner we had at the function was delicious. This is our second stay at this hotel, and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Bar service was slow. There was not enough staff on for the numbers in the hotel.
