One for the books

Rigzin and Jizmet are the kind of hosts that every guest dreams of having. The place is exquisite and the kind of service is like no other. The food that is served at every meal feeds your soul. The property is a little piece of paradise on earth. If you are somebody who truly appreciates good people and nature this is the place to hide out at. Thank you for having us, we are touched by your hospitality.

Absolutely exquisite private lodge accommodation; idyllic in every way!

Exquisite! Truly exquisite! Worth every penny! Wonderfully idyllic place to relax in privacy in your own lodge by a river. 48 hours of acclimatisation is required on arrival in Leh so this place is the perfect choice! The best staff; great service but not in any way overbearing! Food was home cooked yumminess! They have thought of everything!

The perfect place to acclimatise in Leh.

It was so beautifully situated on the Indus River. All the staff - especially Jigmet - were so welcoming and bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. Jigmet even took us on a walk to a camel sanctuary, pointing out particular aspects of the landscape and Ladakhi architecture. The food is delicious and you are served so much of it.

Excellent manager and staff who helped with local trips/drivers and recommended nice places to see in Ladakh. Rooms in the Lodge are very nicely done. Truly eco friendly. Lovely meals.

The absolute best

Its a beautiful luxurious 40- acre property right by the Indus River. The views from every cottage/cabin and suite are simply breathtaking. Even if you dont leave your room, you can enjoy the best of Ladakh landscape from here. I found the hospitality and the staff to be better than some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Its hard to find any fault in their service or property. The food, the room service , their attention to detail to every arrangement in the room, their ability to make every customer feel special is something to be truly appreciated. Prachi, Jigmet, Salman and Nico are doing a phenomenal job with this place. Id recommend this place to each and everyone.

A place to stay when you come to Ladakh, and becomes a reason why you will want to come back to Ladakh

The views The tranquility The food Spotlessly clean bungalow with crisp fresh linen and luxury topper. Eco friendly. The incredible staff - special mention to management Jikmet and Prachi - they pay attention to everything and are truly there to take care of you! They provided us with everything we needed, helped us in every way they could for our trip, with grace and a smile on their face. They made everything so so easy for us. Service is hands down better than any 5star hotel we have been to in India. Nico and Mary - such amazing hosts. There is a calm that comes with their presence. Its like a warm sense of security - its quite honestly rare to feel it amongst strangers. Indus River Camp is more than just a holiday accommodation - its a retreat to nature, a nudge to grounding your senses, a pull to be better human beings. The staff emulate this daily with their kindness. Such a humbling place that people like us who try to find meaning in life, can truly appreciate. If you speak this same language, you will absolutely love it here. A genuine gem in Ladakh - a must stay if/when youre in the area. We booked for 2 days, we stayed for 4, wish we stayed for 6!
