Superb

A lovely place to stay, in a fantastic location.

We stayed in a couple of different places in San Francisco and this was by far our favourite. The location is great - just a two minute walk from the Painted Ladies and in a neighbourhood that felt very safe (including at night). There a lot of restaurant / bar choices just a ten minute stroll away also. The property itself is lovely - very pretty on the outside, and we were sent detailed instructions in advance for finding our way in. The staff were incredibly helpful, being kind enough to store bags for us at both check-in and departure, and after we arrived early to drop bags off before exploring, they even messaged us to say when our room was ready allowing for a slightly earlier check-in. The room itself was clean, comfortable and perfectly spacious for 2 people.

Highly recommend (for able-bodied folks due to stairs).

(Stayed at end of December). Location is great. Neighborhood was quiet. Contact-less check-in was easy. Queen size room perfect size for one to two persons. Comfy bed, pillows, and sheets. Loved room amenities such as: standing fan, white-noise machine, water kettle, mini fridge. Plenty of fluffy bath towels.

Forewarning: narrow stairs for rooms that are on second floor which can make lifting luggage tricky if heavy and if you have mobility/lifting issues.

Comfortable family stay over the Christmas holiday

The Inn was very quaint and the rooms clean and very comfortable beds; Close to Alamo Square and the Painted sisters, walkable distance to restaurants. Aziza the receptionist was very helpful, friendly and organised. Late check-out was available.

Rooms at street level next to busy crossing and bus stop were a bit noisy (ear plugs provided by hotel??), Access to the lounge after 5pm would have been preferable e.g. tables for seating and microwave were unaccessible after 5pm.

Our stay was lovely! It was in a great location that was very walkable. The room was quaint but very clean. The hotel felt very safe and was very quiet at night which was lovely. Staff were very kind as well.

Great value for a quick trip in SF

Great value, clean, safe location, cute touches like touches, extra blankets, chocolate/biscuits, ear plugs and easy self check in

The walls are thin and our room was on the first floor so you could hear the people above us walking in the morning

Great sleep! It is clean and homey. The staff is friendly and helpful. The inn is real close to the Civic Center area and Hayes Valley. We loved our stay.

Great place to stay if you have a reason to be in that neighborhood.

Great location for a concert at the Independent. 1 mile walk to the Haight. Alamo Square Seafood was a great recommendation. Good value and Nice to eat in a neighborhood restaurant with local locals.

Room is small but adequate.
