The Galaxie is a charming and quirky hotel just a 10-minute bus ride from the city centre. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for food and drinks. The hotel h (Read More)as a unique and beautiful design, making it a gem to explore. The room was lovely and warm, and the delicious breakfast was worth the price. Overall, highly recommended for a pleasant stay near Oxford.

Very recommendable hotel, would absolutely come back to stay here if I come back to Oxford.
Welcoming and courteous staff, good breakfast, lovely design. It is a 10min bus ride from town but dont let that deter you, there are several bus options either a very frequent schedule.
The walls are very thin and one can hear neighboring rooms and flushing and water draining during showers as if there is a microphone in the bathrooms. The extractor on the bathroom was very dusty, as well as the heater in the room. The rooms can get very cold during the day but they heat them up during the night.

Beautifully decorated hotel. Friendly staff and great location for Summertown and Jericho.
The decor was dark modern, victorian (I think). The duty manager was also very chatty. We also liked the extra touch of being taken to your room.
Other guests were quite noisy. I guess it was unavoidable with the age of this hotel to hear all the movement. Also the WiFi wasn't working well the night we stayed. Finally, allowing a couple of ghost hunters to film publicly in the hotel was a bit unnerving!

Fantastic stay
A lovely hotel, decor was great and had a very comfortable atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful and super breakfast. Location was good, either a 30 mins walk to city centre or a short bus ride. Excellent stay, would highly recommend.

Lovely old fashioned bar and breakfast area. In conservatory. Its a bit of a maze inside which I found quaint
Could hear outside noises from other rooms etc quite easily
