Very Disappointed

The water in the shower was hot and relaxing. The room had a nice love seat to watch TV from. Cable TV with all my favorite channels.

Very disappointed that the pool was closed for renovation. This hotel was booked primarily to use the pool over the holiday weekend. Had I known about the closure I would have canceled my reservation and booked elsewhere. Considering the pool was closed the nightly rate was more than I would usually pay for a hotel with no pool. I would very much like to be contacted regarding a refund. Also despite the hotel not being fully booked for the weekend our room was right next to a family with children who were not very quiet. Lastly there was no breakfast or housekeeping which is surprising since most hotels now offer both. We will not be staying here again.

Front desk staff was very pleasant and cooperative.

Overall, it was a nice place and in a good location. Rooms are pretty nice and updated.

The rooms need to be cleaner. The soap bar by the sink was open, there was what seemed to be a used facial clothe that had been left there hanging, the garbage pale had a bottle in it, night stand had cup stains on it, where toilet was there was urine stains. It became so uncomfortable to be there... I didn't know what else I would encounter. Also I called for an extra blanket and the front desk lady was going to send someone to bring it and the guy never showed up with the blanket. I went down and the front desk lady got it for me herself.

So so, would recommend Re location but not necessarily the hotel.

Quite close to a lot of ammenities. .

Very old, pics on booking.com dont quite show this. A little noisy as well.

The outside of the hotel was totally non-descript. We were confused, it did not appear like a hotel

Very limited, the coffee pots were not clearly identified and when I attempted to purchase there was no staff in sight.

Perfect hotel for my familys needs!

Clean, quiet, convenient location. Although the location is nice and quiet, it is close to any needed stops like Walgreens and Dunkin Donuts!

Great staff, great room!

This hotel was perfect for my familys needs. The location was great, in a nice quiet area, yet close to everything we needed. The best part was the friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely return to the Sonesta in Middletown if Im in the area again!

Disappointing

Overpriced, poor value and tired hotel not to be repeated.

Nothing comes to mind. We were on the ground floor, there was a slight smell and there was evidence of minor mould on the ceiling probably from condensation or leaks.

There was trash someone had dumped from a fast food meal outside the entrance way as you went in. I thought there was a nice indoor pool, I wasn't told about it by the staff on arrival and never found it. The hotel looks tired and unloved. The receptionist seemed as though she was going through the motions but not really interested in her job. I asked about the bar and she said it only opened for events. I could however have a beer from the 'shop' area which was a positive point although not ideal. Lack of investment and management oversight gives a considerably over-priced mediocre hotel experience. $400 for one night - ridiculous.

Relatively clean and staff were friendly.

Hotel was way overpriced and inaccurately described. For the price paid there was no value for money given location and room size.

Disappointed in Newburyport

Not Much

Tv broken, phone broken, room not as clean as expected. We were in a handicap room which led us to think outside booking companies get the worst rooms.
