If it was not because of the excellent rating and review, I wouldn't have pick this hotel.
The rooms were spacious, the shower room was great. The location is great and staff was very helpful. The bathroom has a vanity table which was really nice but there was none in the other room that we booked. Plus the free umbrellas that the hotel offer was great.
Felt that it was a little over-rated and expensive. Our wash basin was full of stains and the water didn't flow well. We have to remove the stopper ( which was really filthy). The breakfast was really over priced with such a limited selection. The french toast and tim sum were way below standard. There was only the buffet price and no ala carte menu. The fitness facility ( the pool and gym) was really small and the water in the pool was not that well heated. The single beds were too soft and saggin g in the middle.

I had an amazing experience in this hotel. The staff were friendly and happy to help all the time
The room was spacious, the room is so clean and the service is so fast! I ordered a water and within 1 minute someone knock on the door with a bottle of water:) The staff were incredible and helpful! Definitely will stay at Sofitel legend again. I had an amazing experience.

Superb room and hotel with excellent service and attention to detail
This proved to be an excellent choice for a short holiday treat. The large room overlooking the canal was perfect and the bed super comfortable. Some days it was difficult to get out of bed ! The central location was ideal, being within walking distance of many attractions and not too noisy. The staff were always attentive and helpful and couldnt do enough to assist. The attention to detail in everything was very noticeable. One specially appreciated gesture was arriving back after a celebratory birthday meal to find some chocolate truffles on a plate with Happy Birthday written on the plate in icing.
