-Location is superb if you want to have easy access to the metro, Burj Khalifa, and Dubai mall. You'll get out of the hotel and walk via an overpass to the mall which offers a variety of restaurants
-Easy to get a taxi
-Hotel staff are all very nice and attentive
We opted to stay at the downtown Sofitel and not at the beach area because we weren't going to spend that many days at the beach and it seemed the beach area is really hard to get in and out, won't be able to use the metro system at all.
Not much. Everything was great. Breakfast does get repetitive if you stay longer than 5 days but still not bad.

The breakfast was exceptional with the most breathtaking views from the pool areas. Was helped with check ins very quick
The location was close to most places, breakfast was out of this world with a lot of options, we definitely picked up weight there and stuff was always willing to assist us. Check in was a breeze even though we arrived a bit earlier than the checkin time they got a room prepared for us.
Being asked to upgrade the room which we declined before arrived and asked again during arrival and ended up agreeing and seeing there wasnt much difference from the one we initially took but cost a bit more.

Even though we were on the 20th floor we could hear loud music from a nightclub. Room was looking a little tired.

A very convenient location to Dubai Mall and public transport.
The location is very close to Dubai Mall and the Dubai Mall metro station. Very convenient to take public transport and shopping in the mall. The staff is nice and let us to use the spa facilities to refresh before our late night flight after checking-out.
The view of the pool to Burj Khalifa is not that perfect because of some new buildings in front.

The location and size of the room. Robert at the front desk was very helpfulthe lauge service was great.
The pillows and the bed are too soft that it is not comfotable.. i think the matteress is old and has been over used.
