A very old historic building of the 14thC. Neat and spacious common areas, good sized bedrooms; down feather amenities; logo slippers, gowns, and ten out of ten heating; very clean spa. Linen change as you wished and towels daily. Breakfast: it was above and beyond with fresh produce and a full basket of local dishes, Austrian hams and cheeses, scrambled eggs, fluffy viennese croissants, vegan & vegetarian diets, breads, desserts etc and a large assortment of juices, teas & coffees. Lunch and dinner: it was a pleasant experience too. The service of the staff: was excellent with very polite staff available to assist you in any in-house enquiries to suggestions for outdoor experiences. Location: location was value for money! Hotel in a small village, next to a large market center, a 14min drive to Salzburg Old Town and a 45min drive to the closest ski resort. We would definitely return to this gasthouse.

Worth to visit while exploring Salzburg and surroundings

We spent a night in this hotel after exploring Salzburg and before going to Vienna the next day. It was right during the heavy snowfall that made our stay even more remarkable as the hotel and surroundings looked like a winter Christmas fairytale. Hotel restaurant is worth to mention with typical Austrian dishes (schnitzel and tafelspitz were really good), friendly atmosphere and professional staff.

Please alert those staying at your hotel that there will be gunfire and do not worry about the sound of the gunfire

I liked the employee who reported his beautiful services while serving us breakfast. I thank the employee very much

Unfortunately, in the early morning of September 17, I was surprised by the sound of gunfire, which caused fear for my family while sleeping, and because of that, my rating for the hotel was unsatisfactory.

Just lovely!

Definitely one of the most charming accomodations in Salzburg area! To mention some of the things we like - the historical building that is so nicely renovated and maintained; the garden with very old trees, a true delight having the dinner during summer; the nice owners, who took care of us so well every time weve been their guests; the ideal position, close to Salzburg and the lakes!

We had a beautiful stay at this hotel. The staff was very nice, and even if we missed breakfast on the last day, they still were very nice to offer us bread, butter, ham & cheese and coffee. The garden is very nice and the Spa also. Highly recommend !!
