Superb

Amazing stay, fantastic people, food, access to everything we needed at the hotel. Entertainment team was fantastic.

Location, food and staff were fantastic. Our second time staying there and loved it. Better than the first time two years ago. Nightly Entertainment was great - band and performances. Ruwan was fantastic when he hosted us in several of the restaurants dinner, lunch or breakfast sittings.

Looking a little run down in parts. Water on stairs, paintwork on facade facing the beach. Harassment by tuk tuk drivers as you leave the hotel gates - very annoying and intimidating. Gym needs some free weights and better hours. Band Crossroads were great but they played the same songs each nightneed more variation.

Amazing hotel, great food, excellent service and value for money

Great hotel, spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms. Staff is exceptionally kind and the restaurant is great. Huge variety of dishes are offered and quality of food is very good. The end of year gala dinner was fantastic.

Being a 5 stars hotel the entertainment could be higher quality. Although is good and the entertainment team is very passionate. Replacing the slat shakers for salt sachets would be great. Due to the humidity all guests were fighting to bring the salt out.

Dont go there unless you purpose is to eat and drink. You will face a lot of trouble.

The food was pretty good, the approximately to the ocean is nice. Other than that - very unsatisfying experience.

The staff is not helpful, they were not even able to call a taxi, the beach is a mess, the hotel is the only establishment in the area but they dont even try to keep it clean. Garbage and street sellers everywhere. There are not enough sun beds for everyone, so people are getting up at 6 a.m. to fight for a place. The area of the hotel is very very small, it is overcrowded and very loud. Children are not welcome, there is nothing to do for them, some areas are restricted to adults only. The staff is extremely unkind and unhelpful, especially towards children. They hurt our feeling on multiple occasions and just started arguing with us because they didnt want to help or answer or questions. We were refused a towel at 6:30 PM because the pool closed at 8 PM and he said it was closing so we didnt need a towel. The receptionists were extremely unhelpful and mean. After inquiring about a topic the reception staff barely gave an answer and after we left with frustration they started laughing at us. Very uncomfortable and disrespectful experience. When trying to escape the disgusting hotel premises and go to the beach you are immediately met and harassed by street vendors that the hotel openly welcomes. Everything is far too complicated and there are too many rules that make no sense and make your vacation stressful.

Good hotel for a family vacation

Good service, good food options and good pool view

They have a stupid pool volleyball process. We couldn't get to use it as someone or the other is using it. And when we did find it free, the ball is not with pool staff. There is animation team that handles it. So better change process

This is not a 5 star hotel. 4 star at best. The Good- Great location by the beach. Great food in buffett Staff at the restaurant were welcoming and warm, perhaps the reception staff and manager can learn from them.

This is not a 5 star hotel. 4 star at best. The bad- Staff at reception were either ignorant or rude. Normal rooms are marketed as suites, that is misleading. The front lobby is open plan and lacks cosiness of a good hotel. The so called fusion and Italian restaurant was a joke and had the same food. Waste of time. The Riu app was utterly user unfriendly. You get shower gel dispensers in cheap and budget hotels, that is what you get here.
