Great stay and location

Location is amazing, Twenty Three Grand and Jimmy are also amazing. Room was spacious for New York and staff were great. We had an asking time, best hotel weve stayed in. 4 minute or so walk to Canal St subway, perfect.

Felt misled about the view and the extra money we paid for it as it was a special trip for a milestone birthday. Spoke to the staff about it and they explained its because we had a long term stay and there was construction on the other side which would have been annoying for us. Made sense but it would have been nice to be told that and offered a reduction in the room rate.

Poor shower facilities, the water pipes in the entire building often make loud, strange noises. And the smell of marijuana from next door can be detected in the room, and the hotel is not taking any action.

Bed was comfortable, but I wouldnt stay again. Not memorable.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind.

No valet, rooms were nothing special for the price. Brunch was also nothing to write home about

Quality without fuss

Great esthetics. Nicely done - it is a Modern House at its best, and the excellent contemporary art collection heightens the pleasure of well designed environment. The guest room is very comfortable and the location just genius. Everything just around the corner. Casual, No nonsense attitude of staff is nice - some more voluntary information wouldnt hurt though.

The common facilities are not really inviting for hotel guests, as the bars and the restaurant are very often hosting some external private events. One feels second class as a guest, witnessing (hearing, smelling, etc) all the parties and not being able to use the facilities one pays for. Also the fitness area is quite basic.

Nice place need to improve cleanliness

I like the place, the people and the location.

They must improve the cleaning of the rooms. We have been there 2 times in the last 2 months and the dirty and lack of care of the rooms is miserable.
