Excellent .. staff were very polite and helpful , rooms were great , great location , breakfast in a basket to your room was an added bonus loved it ,cant fault anything and we will return in the summer

Excellent.

Stayed here for two nights and it was an amazing quirky guesthouse. Room was cosy, clean and the superior double was very comfortable. Breakfast was great with a good variety of choices, either eaten in the dining room or in your room. Location was great too. Would highly recommend a stay at this lovely guesthouse.

The whole experience was fantastic. We received a courtesy call on our way to check we had the code to get in where our welcome pack would be ready for us. The welcome pack was brilliant and gave us specific directions to park our car. The lobby was lovely and very welcoming and quirky. The room was just the same, I loved the Harry Potter theme! The breakfast was lovely and brought to us in a nice little basket with a smile from the friendly staff member ( I didnt catch her name unfortunately ). We loved everything about this inn and definitely will stay again.

Hidden gem in the middle of the city

What a lovely find. We are regulars in York and have not stayed here before but so glad we found. The room was absolutely gorgeous and brilliantly themed. The personal touches of mince pies and sherry in the room, along with sweets was so lovely. There was free mince pies and mulled wine in the lounge. The option of breakfast in a hamper in bed or in the lounge was a nice touch. We were surprised by a roll topped bath and shower in the bathroom. Definitely recommend it for the location also.
