FANTABULOUS!!!!

Undoubtedly one of the best experience I just have enjoyed at Lakepalace, Thekkadi. The location of the property is something beyond explanation. The staff and the ambiences are double super. The behaviour and attitude of the staff were a heart touching!!! The property has an ancient and historical value. One may not get ultra luxury but 101% worth of your money.

Food should have been little more international tourist friendly. As eating heavily spiced dishes caused little discomfort. More salad should have been provided along with each meal. Kerala styled food could have been provided in different way .

Unique location but overpriced

Location is awesome & staffs were polite and supportive. Only six rooms and gives you feeling of private stay.

Paid 21k, which is overpriced. 12-15k is the limit. Food was average for vegetarians. But staffs made sure to provide as much support as possible.

Complimentary boat trips were fantastic. Beautiful setting that overlooks a lakeside plain where deer often visit. Great food and beautiful historic building. Very peaceful and private.

The ambience, the peace, the feeling of stepping into a more tranquil age. Staff were brilliant!

I think you should make it known there are something like 60 steps up to the hotel from the landing stage. I found it difficult as I was recovering from a chest infection. Some people with mobility issues could struggle

My daughter & I felt like princesses we had a truly unique stay

We loved everything about this hotel. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very special. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The view was like being in a real life show with David Attenborough. We saw elephants, bison, dear and even a tiger all from our sun longer we were very lucky. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again a teuely exceptional experience.

Nothing everything was perfect. The only one thing was they had just painted the benches so a faint smell of paint. But it dont stop our wonderful Stay

highly recommend Lake Palace - a must on anyones list of places to stay!

The location was excellent and very spacious rooms. There arent many rooms so a very quiet place to stay where you can watch the animals across the water. We were treated like royalty - exceptional service from the staff, very friendly, kept us informed of animals that could be seen or what time boats rides etc.

A very special stay while visiting Periyar national park. Connection with nature and immersion into the very local ambiance. The dinner was excellent and the staff was ready to accommodate every desire. Loved the design of the room too.
