The hotel and the grounds are amazing.

When am we arrived we didnt get any explanation of the hotel area or its history despite the fact that its a unesco world heritage site and like a maze. It was only after asking about it the Ohm took us on a 20 minute tour l, which we appreciated greatly. Also when I first arrived at 9:30pm after 12 hours of travel, I really just wanted a beer, but the staff refused to get one, saying the restaurant was closed. They also tried to use the excuse that it was a Buddhist holiday, which it was, but I later found out theyd been serving alcohol all day until 9pm. My room door lock was also broken, making it nearly impossible to enter the room. It was obvious it had been broken for quite some time as the staff was not surprised at all when I told them. It then took two days to get it fixed. So my first impression of this place was that the staff was disinterested in helping out other than doing the bare minimum, in fact they almost seemed to enjoy turning us down. In the end we had a good time, but we didnt most of our time outside the hotel grounds as everything (food , massage, transportation) all cost 3-4x more at the hotel than anywhere else. For example: pad Thai, massage, car, cost $290, $1200, and $1100 respectively if booked at the hotel, whereas it costs $80, $300, and $600 respectively if booked anywhere else.

The restaurant has great food and many delicious local dishes. Beautiful view and chill The staff are friendly and helpful Have their own coffee and tea in room

Have ants in the room Quite boring on a weekday Too far from the center, so the taxi fee is too high if we want to go back to the city It will be better if the resort has a transportation partner, so that customers can move to the center at a better price

Fantastic renovation of a historical site with bedrooms incorporated into previous tobacco leaf drying silos. Really interesting interpretation museum and great architecture incorporating a cafe, tea house and restaurant.

The entrance and exit roads were in made and could do with improving

Very special place. I love what they have made out of this former tobacco estate. I changed room because of the matress being very firm and some barhrooms have been refurbished, others are dated. Lovely, very nice staff at reception allowing me to checknin early. Same at the Cafe and restaurant. This place is perfect to settle down after a road trip or prior to your flight. "Real coffee" in the room bar to brew a cup which makes a nice change to the Nescafe stuff you find elsewhere. Nice cake at the Cafe and dinner was really good. Since I was the only guest for dinner they set up a table for me outside in the garden where I was trated to some really nice Thai food served by the chef. Really enjoyed my short stay!

A most origianl way to get closer to the Countryside of Northern Thailnd

The location in an old tobacco farm is very interesting with very beautiful trees throughout the estate. The accommodaton is quite simple but very quiet and full of atmosphere. There is a lso a good pool.

The only downside is that the resort does not have a restarant open after 6pm. We had a car so could drive out and find somewhere locally to have dinner but without your own transport you are a bit limited for something to eat in the evening.
