Location and building

Got there at 3 pm for check in and had to wait until 5.30 pm for a room to be available. Got given drinks vouchers while we waited.

Lovely hotel and breakfast was excellent

Beautiful

People were abit noisy in the corridors going back to their rooms at 1 - 2 in the morning. I ordered room service and the chips were cold.

Reasonable budget stay in central Birmingham.

Great central location, friendly staff, clean hotel.

One of the bedrooms had a window which was broken and wouldnt close. The soundproofing was poor and we could hear other guests in the corridor and the room next door. There was also a lot of noise from outside.

Hotel location, style and staff friendliness good, but let down by poor maintenance and cleanliness.

General decor / style, staff friendliness, breakfast generally. "Lallier" room generally nice.

Hotel decor showed significant signs of wear and tear throughout - paint touch-ups quite poor. Breakfast toaster toasted bread mainly on one side - gave up after 4 slices. Bed mattress noticeably worn - not flat. Lallier room toilet bowl yellow / brown, and shower glass brick wall grout noticeably mildew mouldy. Wardrobe door wouldn't close, with inner lighting switch near door hinge loose. Pre-checkin experience was not the best. Kept receiving multiple email messages offering upgrades options, followed by a phone call requesting additional payment for child bed which was misaligned with my booking.com booking T&Cs which Hotel admin staff accepted in the end.
