The room was a bit dirty, there wasnt dressing gowns in the room so had to call up so we could go to the spa but it took ages. Expected more of the spa.

great location, comfy beds, quiet room, good breakfast. overall an impressive hotel.

booked a classic double, would upgrade for future visits. Whilst room was comfortable, nothing to write home about. Pretty basic, yes hot beverage facilities and complimentary bathroom toiletries, but basic soft furnishings and odd furniture. (Blanket throw on bed). Bathroom slightly tatty clean, but simple things like replacing a rusty shower rail . and sorting the paintwork.

Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, great location.

check in supposed to be 3.00, room not available until 6.00pm, really not good enough. The hotel did offer a free spa visit the following day, however could not benefit from that as other plans. A room reduction would have been more suitable.

Breakfast was good, room was poor.

The Manor is good.

The Mews Cottages. There were holes in two of the walls from door handles. The mattress was very uncomfortable and lumpy. The room wasnt cleaned properly, there was hair from previous guests on the floor in the bathroom.

Beautiful manor in a stunning location!

The manor is stunningly! The grounds are beautiful to walk around!

The spa its very nice and we enjoyed our time but could probably do with a little touch up in places.

I think hotel this quality should employ better staff to satisfy all customers

Drinks at the bar to expensive, not pro staff at the bar, I couldnt charge my car for all day even I have been told problems resolved, twice I have been bothered by knocking on my room door by cleaning crew by mistake

Great place Lousy room.

Wonderful place and wonderful location. Everything was great other than the room.

The room was tiny although booked as a standard double. Could barely walk around the bed only room for one bedside table and the shower flooded every time you opened the shower door. IVY cottage upstairs. I get the impression that if you book through booking.com or similar they will give you the worst rooms presumably as they have to pay a fee.

Nice but needs some TLC and cheaper rates!

Room and grounds were nice and the staff were great.

Whilst it was nice, the room we stayed in definitely needed some TLC! Paint peeling off in the bathroom, tiles cracked, cobwebs above the curtains, couldn't shut the window properly so could hear the noise from the front of the house. Spa was nice but quite small considering it's a 'Champneys Spa Hotel' and you had to go outside to gain entry (which isn't the end of the world but when you're going in the spa in the evening in December in the middle of the rain & wind - not exactly the relaxing start you're looking for!). The breakfast, which was included in our room price, is MASSIVELY over priced. 32 for 2! I've had better breakfasts at a Premier Inn for half the price. You also have to pay extra for anything other than basic coffee.. Overall, I don't think I'd go again. I don't think it's worth the 200 a night price tag (even with booking.com discounts!).
