Recently stayed at Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort & Spa. Upgraded to preferred service with ocean view room and enjoyed the varied breakfast. Access to preferred pool and snack lounge was conve (Read More)nient. Hotel has direct access to the promenade with restaurants and bars nearby. Staff were helpful and made the stay memorable. Impressed with cleanliness and maintenance of the pools. Location is fabulous with easy access to the town and marina. Entertainment and activities were enjoyable. Only complaints were a long check-in wait and lack of adult entertainment options.

Book with preferred club only and not on holiday time
Good location, the restaurants are more nicer and quiet than the buffet, the staff in the restaurants are professional and friendly, and serve very nice food.
A few members of the staff were not kind, so many rules like booked with preferred club or not, which restaurants are open on which days etc, nobody informed us at the check in that there are time distractions to have lunch in barefoot restaurant even with all inclusive booking, etc The buffet was such a mess so many times.

A lovely hotel in a great location, most of the staff were helpful and friendly, some not but overall a good hotel. Not exceptional as other Dreams hotels in the Caribbean are.
Having been to 2 Dreams Hotels in the Caribbean this hotel did not compare. It is sold as a Dreams Hotel with all the facilities in the same way as the Caribbean but certain restaurants were only open on certain days, limited daytime food options and just generally not as polished as the Caribbean Dreams hotels. Rooms were a good size but again did not compare with the Caribbean hotels. Also there was constant badgering by staff hovering outside the restaurants and in reception to try to get you to attend sales meetings about Hyatt discounts, I'm on holiday I do not want to be harassed by sales people!

The staff was very nice and helpful. Dinner has a good variety of choices.
This is not a 5 star hotel. The facility itself is old, elevators need renovation. Spa is very very disappointing. The quality of the breakfast was very poor, little to none healthy options.

Great Hotel, Shame it ended up costing me more!
Great location, Preferred Club worth paying the extra.
The rooms were booked a year in advance to ensure the best price. I modified one of the double rooms as 1 person couldnt come and both rooms were changed in error, not by me! This caused an unexpected supplement of 350 on checking in, which was unexpected and disproportionate to the original cost of the room. The Hotel was unsympathetic and not willing to compromise.

Lovely location. Friendly staff. Its a shame its been taken over by Hyatt.
Location is great with access directly onto the boulevard. Good sized hotel with the feeling of space.
This was our 2nd year returning to Dreams for Xmas. Unfortunately (since the hotel became part of the Hyatt group), the amenities, hotel policies, cutbacks on services, price increases etc have been to the detriment of the whole guest experience. The staff are all lovely and doing their best. However, they are clearly governed by the rules of Hyatt. The clientele at the hotel has also changed, and not for the better. Quite a few foul mouthed lager louts this year, as well as some families with completely unruly children. Preferred club should be reserved for adults only which would be a big benefit.

Great hotel with nice view and pools
The hotel was great and well-located. We liked our room and the facilities in general. The pools were wonderful and my son loved the kids' area.
The food throughout the stay was not good, either lacking taste or too salty. The breakfast at the preferred area didn't feel very exclusive, with longer queues than the 'regular' area.
