Very good

Good value for money

The hotel was clean and presentable. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. Love the warm cookie on arrival. That's a nice touch.

TV was limited to only a few channels, due to there being no signal. They could do with an upgrade to Smart TV's.

Superb

The location is very central to our family. Pubs and shops around

Confusion over our booking as we extended our stay by 1 day was 2 separate bookings. I called for my parents to see if everything was ok for same room etc and was told yes all good. Then when I checked them in was 2 separate bookings and hadn't been sorted as promised. I didn't want my parents stressed out. I sorted it but that's not the point, is it. Other than that a fab stay. Thanks.

Disappointed

The location.We use this hotel a lot because it's ideally located for walking in the peak district.

This is the 3rd time on the trot that the jacuzzi in the spa area has not been working.We were told last time we came here that it would be fixed.We were then told you now have to pay 5 each to use the Spa which used to be free. Bathroom not very clean.Wont be rushing back.

Reliable comfortable hotel

We have stayed here many times when visiting our son nearby, the property is convenient, relatively quiet & provides reasonably priced & comfortable accommodation.

Our room this time was a little tired, the furniture was a little bit tatty. I know not all the rooms are like this one but it really looked like it needed an update.

WE STAYED FOR XMAS DAY LUNCH,OUR SON ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY PEANUT S OR PEANUT SPFREADS USED AT ALL,THE ANSWERE FROM CHEF NO NONE ,OUR GRANDSON SUFFERS PEANUT ALLERGY AND WAS VERY ILL FROM A DESERT HAVING PEANUT BUTTER IN , WE FOUND OUT LATER ,STAFF SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THIS NOT JUST SAY NO,NEEDLESS TO SAY WE COULD NOT STAY FOR THE FULL LUNCH AT 75 PER PERSON BEEN STAYING AT THJIS HOTEL FOR 15+YEARS FIRST TIME HAD TO COMPLAIN

A lovely Christmas break

I come with my wife who is a wheelchair user and we are always impressed with the accessibility and the friendly helpful staff. Whenever we go away we look for a Hampton hotel.

Disappointing

Disappointing stay but the staff were wonderful

Ultimately the staff were great. All very friendly, lovely and accommodating. I liked the location as it meant the room was fairly quiet. The bathroom was nice with a good shower and there was a nice iron and ironing board plus robes.

As we entered the room, the smell was very odd and it didn't smell very clean though it appeared clean. There was mould growing on the carpet under one the bedside tables. The windows don't open so it feels very stuffy and enclosed in and when you have a shower the whole room steams up because of that and then water runs down the windows and window cills. The lighting in the room is pretty dark and the bed wasn't firm and the duvet was thin, more of a winter duvet. For what we spent I would have expected a little more than this, it felt more like a travel lodge room than Doubletree by Hilton. I live in London and travel a lot and it's just not good value for money.
