Superb

A friendly face, hot shower and comfortable bed was all that we needed. Thank you!

We checked in very late (close to 1am!) and there was a lovely lady night porter who let us in without complaint. She was very friendly and welcoming - we really appreciated her kindness. She checked us out in the morning and had even arranged for someone to make us a breakfast if we wanted it, but sadly we didn't have the time.

Easy to find, plenty of safe parking, clean, warm, lovely log fires, nice bar, great beer, menu was just right, friendly staff, overall a very good place to stay, will definitely come again.

Disappointing

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again in it's current status.

The check in experience was friendly

Although the room seemed clean enough on arrival (apart from a not overly fresh smelling toilet), the standards rapidly declined. The carpet was not hoovered, the bed was not refreshed, bathroom bin not emptied and the toilet paper was not adequately replenished. Overall, the pub/accommodation appeared very much in need of a refreshment/update. I paid 445 (room only ) for five nights (24-29 Dec) and subsequently stayed the remaining three nights of my trip (29 Dec - 1 Jan) in a Premier Inn on the outskirts of Leeds for 186, room only. The stay at the Premier Inn was delightful in so far that the cleanliness, comfort and value of the room far outweighed that of the Norfolk Arms.

Exceptional

Lovely friendly staff, very busy pub in a great location for walkers and scenery lovers.

I arrived early but had not arranged for an early check in. The staff were excellent and had my room made up straight away so I could put my bags in. The following morning they also made me coffee when I arrived early for breakfast whilst the chef set up. On both occasions, even though I was an inconvenience they never made me feel like it!

Honestly for the price, the accommodation was hard to fault, likewise the staff.

Good value, cost, bring your own toiletries.

Cosy inn, good range of drinks to have by the open fire. Staff friendly. Room spacious and bed comfy.

Toiletries were embarrassingly bad - gel hand soap and shower gel from dispensers. No shampoo or conditioner.

Cosy hotel

Friendly and helpful staff Quiet surrounding Comfortable bed Breakfast is good and not too expensive.

My room TV not working well Have to carry out suitcase up.to the room, no lift.( But the owner provided to help)

Ok but don't have breakfast..

Breakfast very expensive and not value for money.

Stayed in room 3.hallway door banged all night due to wind. Restaurant full of dogs.Roof leaked in bar.buckets all over floor.
