Exceptional

There was a little trouble trying to get our room our reservation with booking was not showing up in there system. The Manager was able to get us our room and said they will deal with figuring out the payment with booking themselves. We did not have to fight or pay extra to get a room. We were accommodated accordingly.

There was not we didn't like, the location was great as well as the staff.

Over all, very good! I will stay here again but maybe eat at a different bar.

Ive stayed at the hotel many times over the years. Its always a good experience. My room was big, I had a river view, on the top floor and over all, quiet. The pillows and sheets were clean and comfortable.

I dont like that children are allowed in the bar/lounge. I was eating dinner in the lounge and a large family came in and brought 3 children. The kids ran ariund, played board games and unfortunately, disturbed the entire room. I love children but they shouldnt be allowed in a bar setting. Maybe having a designated area for families with kids would be a good idea? Just a suggestion.

Good Choice in Durango

Good location.

Entry is a pain point with a stairway being the main focus. There is a ramp (think rolling luggage) but its an afterthought. Odd layout, super heavy doors to navigate with luggage in tow. Dated rooms but nice layout and clean bathrooms. Quiet room but typical noisy HVAC found in hotels. Why do these so loud?

Very nice rooms and good location. Front desk and restaurant staff needs massive improvement.

The room was nice and comfortable with a balcony over the river, facing beautiful trees. Really very, very comfortable, with lovely housekeeping service.

The breakfast service was horrible. Crazy slow. One day we had a waitress who served our coffee and cereal with soup spoons (no big deal) then cheerfully told us she couldnt care less about which spoons she found. There was something else about which she couldnt care less. Even though we had a rate that included daily breakfast, we went out to Dennys one morning, just because we couldnt deal with sitting there for an hour. Hint: if you stay here dont take the breakfast ratethere are plenty of good breakfast and coffee shops 2 blocks away on Main Street. Also except for Josh, who was very nice at check-in, the 2 ladies at the front desk were grouchy and super unfriendly. I would say good morning when we passed by each day, and neither of them would even look up. Also, check your bill carefullywe were charged for a la carte breakfast on top of the rate that already included it.

Beer garden was fun and conveniently located on site. Saved time walking to main street for a cold drink and some good eats. Pet friendly, yesss! You cannot beat the views from the room on the river side. Oh, the warm cookies still put a smile on my face! Keep it up, Doubletree.
