Almost a perfect 10!

Excellent service. Top-notch location, right on Ocean Drive, in the middle of all the activity, and a stones throw from the beach. Great places to eat all around, lovely vibe. South beach parking garage $20/day is less than a block away. Its great if you happen to have a car. No in/out privileges: be warned (so youll pay $20 for each day or each part of a day that you enter and exit the garage). The staff at the Beacon South Beach are the absolute best! Nothing beats their excellent hospitality.

The room was kinda small for a family of 4, but it was manageable. The bathroom is a matchbox lol, but since it was just us, it didnt feel too bad.

I like that the hotel was on the strip you can walk I had a fun

No washing machine area I didnt like that I had to walk to get my breakfast.

Great location but not pretty!

We booked a different hotel in July for our November trip. I was looking at the hotel amenities close to our trip date and saw they were undergoing major renovations. I called booking.com and they let me change without a fee to a different hotel - even gave me a small credit for the inconvenience. We booked the Beacon for its wonderful location and included breakfast. When we arrived, the facade is undergoing restoration, the front desk area in the lobby is ripped out and covered in plastic, most chairs on the patio area removed. Our room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The nespresso machine in room great. Breakfast was three blocks away and consisted of chafing dishes with limited options. We ended up going elsewhere for breakfast other mornings. I contacted booking.com to let them know I was disappointed with the appearance of the hotel and the misleading included breakfast and their response was poor. They recognized that the situation was frustrating.
