Passable

Hotel was good and perfect location as we were traveling on euro tunnel the next day. Hotel/rooms seemed abit dated and getting tired. Lift to our room was filthy dirty. We had some food in bar when we got there. Was very nice. all in all a good quick stay. Next time I am going on Euro tunnel I will stay there again

Nights stay on New years day

The swimming pool, steam room and sauna room were all good, but I can imagine they would get very busy if it was not New Years day.

Both the double bed and the sofa bed were extremely uncomfortable so not a very good night' s sleep for the 4 of us. Restaurant was over priced and small portions, trying to be a posh restaurant only to be let down by condiments being served in their packets

Passable

Pool and proximity to Eurotunnel are great, but it needs investment to raise standards overall.

The rooms are spacious, we always appreciate the spa and pool, and the breakfast is generous. The location is perfect for taking the Eurotunnel.

The heating in my children's room wasn't working and we were given a small radiator that didn't work very well to compensate. There were no glasses in our room, and the kids had nothing but one mug. The hotel used to offer a quite nice package of toiletries but those aren't there anymore. The hotel paintwork and the state of the furniture and carpets is looking tired now, and it should be fixed. The floors and bathrooms in the spa and fitness centre were not clean.

Swimming and jaquizi are too crowded.

I asked tea cups few times no one turn up, rooms and Hallways area were smelly and towels were not enough too.

We have stayed here repeatedly but level of service and quality in food has declined.

Location and facilities

Poor service, short staffed, air con broken in room. Food average for cost. Childs garlic bread was a naan bread that had been warmed up. Treacle sponge cold in middle.

The original rooms.we booked weren't ready and had to be changed on arrival. There was no omelettes available at break as the chef was too busy

Disappointing

Good pool, nice lobby, disappointing hotel.

The hotel lobby area was well presented with plenty of places to sit in private. The swimming pool was large and the sauna and steam rooms were good and the staff here were friendly.

The room was disappointing, Premier Inns have more comfortable beds, bigger TVs, more pillows and are better presented than this. The food in the restaurant was over priced and underwhelming, the atmosphere in the restaurant was cold and impersonal and we were in and out in less than an hour from arriving. The restaurant area was dirty, the carpets needed hoovering as crumbs were under the table from the previous days. Staff seemed to spend a lot of time standing around chatting rather than clearing tables and wiping tables down.
