Perfect guest house, full of character, near York city centre!

The property has lots of character and is a cute guest house. It is in a fab location near the city centre.

The decor is a little outdated but perfect for a mini break to York.

Very good

Lovely home on the edge of York. Everything was smooth and simple. Private parking, dogs allowed, breakfast, all at no extra cost. Only 10 minutes easy walk to the lovely part of town. The room was comfortable, though small. Reasonable for the cost. Lovely staff. We had a lovely stay thank you

Ascot house is a hidden gem. Very traditional, and immaculately clean. We could not fault anything. We were in the Attic room and its lovely, a mixture of traditional modern. Will deffinately stay there again, June and all staff are so polite and helpful. So pleased we stayed. Although its a 15 mins or so walk to centre it was worth the walk. We shall be back, nearly forgo the breakfast was supherb and free parking at the house is a bonus.

A perfect Guest House in a prime location.

On arrival, we were able to park as no restrictions over the weekend. Car park quite small, so parked on road side. The look of the guest house was lovely from the outside. We were met at the door by the owner who gave us all we needed to know to get into the city centre from the premises. Perfect location, about a 15/20 minute walk. The double room was lovely, very clean with ample storage. A beautiful 4 poster bed and a well equipped en-suite. Free wi-fi and a TV in the room. There was also a well filled tea/coffee making tray, with everything you would need. The breakfast choices were brilliant, catering for everyone.The staff were all lovely too. We were so happy with this guest house, we have re-booked for January 24.
