The Amathus Beach Hotel in Limassol exceeded expectations with exceptional service and friendly staff. The fact that there is no room for rest after spa treatment. Hotel used to have one and it was really really nice to be there. It was one of the best features of the hotel.

Fantastic and we will be back

We visited in winter so enjoyed the use of the indoor pool and spa area. We also loved our sea view room with balcony, the restaurants and bar area and so was the amazing breakfast. We were also lucky with the sun so spent time by the outdoor pool too. But the best part was the wonderful staff who were always friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We felt very welcome and happy throughout our stay.

Nothing. Even after a storm when our room got a bit flooded with water coming through the balcony window, we were swiftly moved to another lovely room and looked after by the wonderful staff.

70% Excellent, 30% disaster

1) All stafff we spoke to were excellent. From the Duty Manager, to front desk, to the Restaruant/Bar teams, to Housekeeping. All the team were excellent. 2) We slept well, the beds were comfortable and rooms clean. 3) Breakfast was excellent every day and there was no problem taking a bowl of fruit up to the room to my disabled wife. 4) The hotel was quiet. 5) Blue badge parking was right next to the front door. 6) the one dinner and couple of nights drinks we had in the hotel were great

Context: this was a vital holiday for our family. Our first family holiday abroad since 2014 due to a spinal injury/reconstructive surgery my wife suffered from 2016 onwards. This was therefore the first family holdiay away my neuro-divergent 9yo son, was to experience. I wrote to the hotel before booking to ensure it had what we needed. Due to my wife's injury what we needed was a heated outside pool for the kids to play in all day where my wife and I could chill watching them. That and the room layout meeting our needs and some break from the kids by using the kids club. The team at the hotel confirmed by email that "Open-air Kids Pool -It is heated at 29oC usually between November - May. It is the ideal spot for families, with a size of 15m X 10m, it has 2 water slides". We knew the larger main pool was unheated and that the indoor heated pool was saltwater. We knew the water playground in the sea would be closed during winter but on the confirmation about the heated kids pool above we booked the hotel and flights. When we arrived the kids pool was shut. On inquiring as to what time it would open we were told it was closed for the winter! How could this be? What ensued was an awful evening where my neuro-divergent son went into full meltdown. He refused to use the saltwater indoor pool due to sensory issues. Over the next couple of days the kids spent time in the unheated main pool but it was very cold. This got too cold by day 4 so I had to resort to taking the kids out in the hire car to amuse them leaving my wife alone in bed at the hotel (the long flight caused terrible pain for her all week - not the hotel's fault of course). What did not help was that the children's club was very much a toddler's club. My daughter refused to use, my son only once.

Best hotel in Cyprus probably

This is my second stay in Amathus beach hotel, but they never let me down. Even though they provide the best quality of service, somehow the price is not arrogant! In Limassol we have several 5 star hotels but I am really sure this hotel is different from others. There are some hotels in Limassol which is almost same price as this hotel, but the service is not worth the 5star level. Others have great service too but the price is not welcoming people And I really have no idea how come, but all of the quality of this hotel is in the different level. If you have never stayed here, I recommend you stay so that you can get how different this hotel is from others If you are the owner of the other hotel in Limassol, you really should spy here and have speak with the manager of this hotel!
