Host has a beautiful home and life to share with her guests.

Love the eclectic artistry and whimsy.

Bedroom was not especially privatewas situated immediately off the kitchen. You could hear other guests coming and going, and the host getting breakfast ready in the morning. The door is original and in no way impairs sound. Could hear every conversation on the other side of the door. Wouldve preferred a room upstairs away from the common areas.

Breakfast is exceptional. Latino staff know how to cook some very good breakfast.

Overall, I thought it was great. There are some fragile antique collectibles in the room so be careful when moving furniture around.

Charming host, delightfully decorated home, magnificent grounds near the Mission District. The best place Ive stayed in

Quintessential San Francisco property. Old, stately home (134 years old) owned and operated by a charming woman who greets all her guests like they are family. Antiques and art everywhere you look. Very comfortable and updated facilities.

Electrical outlets could use some updating for device-addicted modern travelers so be prepared with back up chargers, etc.
