Excellent intimate resort

Beautiful place to relax after a long flight. It has a quiet beach and feels intimate. Staff are exceptional.

No privacy

The reception staff were great, the villa was lovely with AC and hot water, the service within the restaurant was good, we were able to dine in the villa also and the whole place was beautiful.

The food was presented very well, however it wasn't exceptionally tasty. The whole experience was clouded by staff constantly walking through our garden, we purposely got a villa with a garden and private pool to end our holiday and to be comfortable lounging in swimwear however I went inside after male staff members looked over staring when we were laying outside, they were walking through the garden back and forth, within a few metres of us (there is a path outside of the garden but this was not used) and they did this several, several times which made me uncomfortable, downstairs there were no blinds so I got covered up to sit in there.

Accomodation: We stayed in Villa 05, which is very spacious and has a beautiful garden and ocean view, particularly from the bedroom on the upper floor. The bathroom is exceptionally large and luxurious. However, the bedroom would be better furnished if it had a table with 2 chairs, which can be used for reading and writing, while looking at the ocean waves. Reastaurant space: very nice and cosy. However, the temperature of the air conditioning sistem was set too low and apparently, it could not be changed. Consequently, the temperature difference between the outside and the inside is too large, perhaps as large as 12-15 degrees, which is uncomfortable and may cause health issues... Because of this we had to chose in-room serving for both breakfast and dinner. Breafast and Dinner: very good, tasty and nicely presented. For dinner, we were allowed to alternate the regular menu with a la carte options. Food in-room service: we highly appreciated the service provided by Mr. Sanjeewa, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. House keeping: we were impressed with the service provided by Mr. Sriyantha and Mr. Pasindu. Reception: last but not least, we commend Mrs. Saku and Mrs. Thilanka, who were always available and effective with respect to our wishes. Octavian & Ana, Villa 05

Super nice and friendly staff. Especially Thivanka went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel has a nice pool and spa, big and spacious rooms, and good food (especially the breakfast). We never left the hotel during the three days we stayed there.

Poor

a 1 star hotel with 5 star prices. Shocking!!!

We liked the location to beach and the pool area looked OK to start but needed updating.The room was huge with a huge bed and bathroom.Must of been lovely 20 years ago.Not now thou.

The service for food was terrible.It all took for ages to arrive and was mostly cold.The breakfast was something else.Cold eggs 7 or 8 cold baked beans rasher of bacon ,hash browns like nothing I had ever seen in my life! cold chicken sausages,a piece of cucumber and a piece of spinach!!( why would you).The avocado listed on the menu with this breakfast delight was missing on both occasions but I feel didnt really distract from a really poor breakfast delivered by totally clueless staff.We also enjoyed lunch and dinner at the hotel as there was nowhere else to go locally.We visited the spa area like the rest of the hotel is really run down and needing restoration.This is a extremely honest review of a really poor place.Give this place a miss!!!We looked at reviews for this place before we booked.Who writes them?? I wish I took a pic of the water park on site wow I bet the pics in the brochures dont look like it does now!!
