Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed, gorgeous ensuite, nice grounds, friendly staff. Dog friendly major bonus.

Not a major negative but it's next to a busy road which is a bit of a shame. The room could have done with a sofa or couple of chairs.

A quiet retreat, a perfect weekend to switch off.

The location was perfect for what we wanted - we were able to switch off and go for lots of walks as well as explore towns in the New Forest! Customer service was excellent - I cannot fault it.

The hotel itself is just a little outdated, it could do with re doing. baths and showers leaky due to mastic coming away due to a time etc. Ladybugs also everywhere :/

Glad to have an inexpensive place in new Forrest. Bit stressfully DIY for finding & letting myself in. Room clean &a

Fab location in New Forest. Woods around. Historic property - inexpensive for the location. Obviously designed to cut costs of providing accommodation for classes & retreats. Bedroom basic but all I needed as a transit.

The stress of finding the door in the dark! Letting myself in through a code at both outside & inside door. No one around to ask.

Very good

Very clean and comfortable apart from the creaking bed!

Obs a lot of road noise hence ear plugs are provided- not exactly great if looking for " Zen" but I wasn't as working so it was okay- I assume it's a listed building preventing double glazing but perhaps that should be visited again in these energy saving days! The bed creaks terribly upon the slightest movement!

Great for the money and self check-in

We loved the location and despite not receiving the email for checkin codes ahead of time, taff were helpful in getting those for us once we'd arrived and gave us the choice of two rooms. For the price, the room was lovely and decorated in a charming way. The only minus really was the wooden bedframe that squeaked horrendously loud every time you moved! Woke me up a few times when my partner moved. The onsite cafe The Crowspotter was a real hidden gem, I think extra sign postage to this would be helpful. Lovely breakfast (not included) in there and great coffee.
