The Relais Cooden Beach impressed with its redecorated, bright atmosphere, delicious food, and professional staff during a family occasion. Guests found the sea view room comfortable and beautifully (Read More)decorated, with a renovated restaurant and bar offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Service was great for a work meal with a large group, although one guest found the steak chewy. Overall, the experience was highly recommended by all.

Anniversary at Cooden

On arrival we were made to feel very welcome. On discovering my mobility issue we were offered an upgraded room in main building, which was great.

Just a few maintenance issues, which we passed to reception so they could rectify. Nothing major.

Very good

We had a room upgrade, which was lovely, and after a lot of travelling we had a good nights sleep. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was nice.

Loved every minute. Will definitely return.

Clean, comfortable, very calm and quiet. Room service. Very lovely staff.

No lift so a bit tricky with the pram but the staff were very helpful.

We've stayed before without problems but this time it was seriously marred by our food experience

the location is superb, just on the beach and very easy access to Bexhill, which we need to visit regularly

Breakfast - we both suffered from food poisoning within an hour of the breakfast. We had eaten in the dining room the night before without problems. We returned to the hotel a couple of hours after we left, interrupting our return journey home, to alert the staff of the problem we had endured - we both ate Eggs Royale and suspect the salmon must have been off and we both had severe reaction an hour later, vomiting and diarroea. Despite the staff member saying they would alert the Manager, we have heard nothing back from the hotel since
