Excellence and convenience in Northampton!

I was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of my room. It was exceptional. Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Cozy fire in the lobby. Really pretty and well done. Everything about the hotel was convenient and easy, from parking, to checkin to checkout.

Excellent location for Smith College events and local shopping and restaurants. Comfortable beds. Spacious, clean rooms. Air control easy to use. Loved hanging out at the hotel bar after seeing a play at the college.

We were awakened at 8am by knock on the door for cleaning services. When we said to come back, they proceeded to clean the adjacent room at 8AM - vacuuming and banging around. It wasn't the best way to wakeup during our visit. Not the fault of people cleaning. Management should be more thoughtful about where they schedule cleaning crews. It kinda ruined the slow, romantic wake-up:(

Absolutely. wonderful!

The rooms are beautiful. It is a perfect location downtown. The staff was amazingly sweet, courteous and professional. I also love that I live in Northampton and am able to feel like I am on some exotic vacation, if only for a night. The absolute best thing is the price!!! The Hotel Northampton is even cheaper than the Quality Inn! The only thing the Quality Inn has that The Hotel Northampton is a pool. Nothing else is comparable

Nothing really. I like having a pool but not every hotel/inn/motel is going to have one. I still prefer the Hotel Northampton!

I like the hotel itself but will not return.

This historic hotel has been maintained well with renovations for modern utilities not undermining its historic feel. The desk and restaurant staff are welcoming and competent. Plenty of free parking provided behind the hotel.

Despite having my Privacy tag on the door, housekeeping rapped on my door at 8:30 in the morning expecting to come in and clean. It's the second time this month I have experienced this in what I would consider a fine hotel. This is a lack of training of the housekeeping staff. More disturbing, however, is that the neighboring room was rented to college students who had a party that spilled out the windows into the alley and attendees arrived both through the hotel hallways and by the alleyway, with the outside participants becoming increasingly drunk and loud until after midnight.
