Disappointing

Facilities are nice even though the rooms are a bit cold and the food is ok

Let's start from the beginning: finding the hotel. The pin on Google Maps is wrong. When you call them for directions, they tell you to which street you should go, but don't tell the most important detail: the hotel is connected to another one with a different name and there is no sign marking that the clovely is also there. After driving around for a while, we finally found it. Them the real challenge begun. We arrived 1h after check-in time (mo surprise since finding the hotel us a scavenger hunt) and had to wait 1 hour to have our room ready. Once we were taken to the room, another 40 minutes wait for our bags. This was enough time for us to discover that the internet connection was really bad in all different areas of the hotel. Exited to finally enjoy some time in the pool, we realized that no one gave us a key to the room. Once again, we went to the reception and, this time, asked them to bring the key to the pool area. 2h later and nothing, we picked it up at the reception. To close my review, a note about breakfast: even though they say it's starts at 6.30 am, nothing is ready before 7.30 am. So if you are planning an early start of the day, don't count on it. .

Mesmerising !! Epitome of hospitality and beauty

Everything about this property is exceptional.. Its looks, Its location, Its rooms, the whole feeling is just mind blowing. More than everything the clovelly bungalows hospitality is the best so far !! The moment you enter in the hotel they will make you feel like king and queen.. We met with Dilruksi at the reception and she took care of enire process seamlessly.. She is very kind and warm.. In simple word AMAZING !! We are so glad that we picked this Bunglow in beautiful city of Nuwara Eliya.. It truly made our experience 10X Better.

It is my favorite place in Sri-Lanka. Very cozy and beautiful. Staff was helpful and friendly. We adored warm swimming pool with amazing view. Breakfast was also very good. Our staying here was amazing.

Wonderful historic stay.

Gorgeous historic bungalow. Surprisingly comfortable, with access to a large hotel complex. There was also a wonderful restaurant there to overlook the valley.

Theyve built a giant hotel in front of the bungalow, blocking almost the entire view.

Great property, value for money, some fine tuning needed - spicing of food and training of staff!

The hotel property is fabulous! It is so classy and I would rate it 7 star. It is new and every department has ensured that it stays that way - housekeeping, gardening etc. The decor, crockery / cutlery is distinctly beautiful. The heated swimming pool is awesome. The staff are all smiling and friendly. Its a great place to stay and total value for money!

The Clovelly bungalow per se, which is attached to the hotel property is beautiful, but old and kind of dysfunctional- geyser, locker, phone, door locking/ safety etc. Nothing seemed to work! The hotel staff lack in their knowledge of English and general training, so much so responses/ actions are impacted. Another huge area for improvement is the food. A good spread, but bland food. We are in Srilanka, the land of spices. We need more spice in each of the items pl!

Good place, good staff.

House keeping were very annoying. At the day of check-in they ring the bells two time @7:00-8:00 PM to clean the room. They never clean the room at the morning, and am not sure why they insist to clean it while you are at the room. Room service restaurant is not the best. Although, their breakfast is amazing.
