Outstanding: you feel safe and near to nature in the middle of Joburg!

It is really a lovely, small boutique hotel, with much customized service! The view is outstanding for Johannesburg and let the guest forget of being in a big city! Absolutely great is the 20min trail from the hotel to the top of the Northcliff. The food is also very good. Exceptional is that it is possible to sleep with open doors: i felt very safe, which is not normal in Joburg! The staff gave me the feeling of being not only a guest nut somehow part of family.

Difficult to say as i absolutely loved the boutique hotel!

The most enjoyable hotel experience ever had.

Everything ! The boutique itself is so tranquil and stunning. Caters for every need possible! The facilities our amazing. The extras provided at no extra cost is a first and we have stayed in 100s of hotels and this adds an extra touch. The food is out of this world ! The staff ; Cindy , Phindy (chef ) Connie and all others are the nicest people you will ever meet ! So kind, thoughtful, happy and helpful. They all go above and beyond to make your stay the most enjoyable experience you have ever had in any hotel. A 10 star rating is way too low .. we wish we could give a million star rating!

Beautiful location, beautiful and spacious room, very quiet and comfortable. Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Loved every minute of my stay, will be back!

All you could want for a JHB luxury stay - and a little extra! 5-star!

There is not much not to like about The Cliffside Boutique Getaway. The venue is located on Northcliff hill with great views of the Northern Suburbs of Jhb. Its beautifully decorated and so are the rooms - its difficult to decide which one to book. Mmatau, Phindi and Elias were so professional, kind and attentive. The room was very comfortable with all that one could need. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you for the care shown.

Excellent! Would definitely return.

The space has a tranquil quality which immediately made me feel relaxed. It has a fantastic view and also direct access to the hill/park at the back of the property which is perfect for a stroll after food and also a short hike if you're up for it. Food was great too!

Wifi was sketchy for a couple of hours but great otherwise.

The three days we stayed at Cliffside were the best accommodation experience we have ever had.

This is a superb relaxing getaway in Johannesburg. The service is impeccable; the food is first class; the gardens are beautiful; the private and common rooms delightful; and the staff have a commitment to making you feel at home that exceeds anything I have experienced in my (now rather long) life. If and when I go back to Johannesburg, I would not even consider staying anywhere else. Do yourself a favour and spend a few days at Cliffside.
