Lovely hotel with unprofessional practices

Conveniently located, multiple restaurants on site with good food and drinks. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

I was travelling with a friend and booked two rooms online. However, at check-in I was given a room that was of less value than what I'd paid for. The room was more like annex to a family room with a door leading to the next one. Also, it looked nothing like what I'd seen online. Same booking, same amount but one of the rooms was totally different. I requested to be moved but was told rooms at that rate were fully booked. I almost gave up but I insisted until they did the right thing. A rather unfortunate practice I must say. A betrayal of client trust!!

Poor

The hotel turned into a nightclub on Saturday and the music was so loud it was impossible to sleep. There was a speaker directly outside my windows.

The facilities, bars, restaurants, outdoor space, food, cocktails were great.

The bathrooms need upgrading, they haven't been maintained very well. The hallways particularly where the rooms by the pool is haven't been maintained. They've focused heavily on the outside but not enough on the inside of the building. Also the staff wouldn't come over to ask for an order until you literally called them over which I found quite poor

Breakfast was good. Bathroom good. Lovely ambience. Comfy bed. Lots to do in the hotel.

Rude manager. Loud music from the pool couldn't sleep till after 3am

Hotel staff allowed a strange man to enter my room while I was asleep

The location is good

The hotel allowed a strange man to enter my room while I was sleeping inside. When I complained to the front desk they said sorry and made excuses - this is definitely something that could happen again, as they told me they had given the man a master key to all rooms. In addition to this, hotel staff called my room repeatedly in the mornings from 8 to 9 am. Housekeeping would knock on the door before 10 am asking to come in, and would open the door even if I had already asked them to come back later. Towels were removed from my room and not available for replacement for several hours. Paint is peeling from the walls due to mold and humidity

So so.

easy access, clean and tidy, good choice of foods

No Dstv in rooms, do could not watch favourite sports channels except by pool but it had no sound as a DJ was playing music he liked at decibel levels above the ability of guests hearing each other as they eat their meals.
