About This Property

Beautiful authentic castle rooms offer you fantastic views of the lake and the Inner Swiss mountains. All Junior Suites have a private indoor pool. Double Room North situated in the back side of the hotel with wooden ceiling and a modern bathroom.

Almost no breakfast, despite an excellent breakfast was sold

Nice and large room with beautiful views, the entire hotel was old fashion designed Some small treats were available like free caffe, free minibar, nice. In the evening I thought to rate it 9.5, but the breakfast was so disappointing

An excellent breakfast was PROMISED at booking, a buffet breakfast was PROMISED at check in, but in the morning I got a plate with 2 thinny slices of salami, some not comestible prosciuto and 3 very small pieces of cheese, they offer scrumbled eggs, I asked for fry eggs, the answer was no. It is a pity the price of the breakfast was included in the price of the room, otherwise I could refuse it, it is a shame to charge this breakfast.

Very comfortable room with a really nice view of Lake Lucerne with mountains in the background. Mt. Rigi is just across the lake and there is an unobstructed view of the summit. I don't know the age of the hotel but has the appearance of being old, yet has modern facilities. Breakfast was nice and included hot items. There is a small well-stocked grocery within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It was geared towards the residents but still had a nice selection of snacks and drinks.

The location is isolated (15-20 minutes from downtown via train or car). The train station is a 5-10 minute walk and runs hourly. The isolated location makes it really quiet but the downside is there is only the hotel restaurant, which happens to be across the street. There is free coffee all day in the hotel, but the offsite restaurant is not really convenient for grabbing a quick breakfast. For other meals it was fine, but you do have to watch the opening and closing times.

We had an excellent experience staying at the hotel, although the hotel is relatively a bit far from the city or attractions and it is required to arrive by train or car, the hotel itself compensates for this disadvantage, the hotel staff is friendly and welcoming, design with a special atmosphere, very good breakfast, private and comfortable beach, view Charming from the room, hard and high-quality mattresses for a good night's sleep.
