The Sommelier who was telling off a bar staff member in the front bar in front of about 5 people waiting to be served, myself included. He kept apologising for his error but the supervisor just kept berating him and we could all hear. Not only was it unprofessional but he treated him terribly. It really upset me, and ruined our experience in the front bar, and I ask them poor young man if he was ok as he looked very upset. When I went to the restaurant later that evening my table was very uninterested in having the Sommelier make recommendations to us.

No complimentary water provided in a 5 star hotel is horrible to start with. Car park is expensive

Second time at the Sofitel. It really is one of the best we have stayed in. The hotel is new, cosy and has amazing facilities. The staff are great, so friendly, especially Go Go

Central location Beautiful hotel and indoor heated swimming pool Very beautifully appointed rooms

Can get noisy late evening and even past midnight (we were on 14th floor) due to loud music from a pub and disco next door. Not their fault but it will keep you awake at times. Hotel air conditioning is set to a certain temperature 18 degree lowest and can get warm at night - you cannot alter the air flow more than a certain level. Breakfast is great but will get boring if youre staying for a longer duration as there is no variation in the daily menu.

Amazing!

We loved the location. The staff were exceptional and made the stay so enjoyable. The rooms themselves were luxurious.

No complaints really. Given it was located in the city from Thursday to the weekend there was music and noise from the surrounding restaurants / bars but it didnt bother us.
