Amazing stay

Amazing 3-night stay at Retro Kampot Guesthouse. The place is really cozy and well decorated. The bungalows are very comfortable, the food is great and the staff is lovely. Always making sure their guests are taken care of. We even used the kayaks for free for a small loop around the area, it was great. Would recommend to anyone staying in Kampot.

Wonderful place to stay, if your are looking for a place a little bit outside of the busy town

Very nice place in the countryside, quiet, very lovely staff. Nice area to relax. Good restaurant. Monica, the manager of the hotel was very helpful and friendly.

Monika and her team were exceedingly generous, kind and knowledgeable. The food was incredible and fairly cheap.

The location was a little out of the centre but to be honest this suited us. It was only 5 mins into town with a tuktuk/ped. The location itself is beautiful, right next to the river. Bring mossy spray!

Breakfast was really good, every morning they offered a bowl of fresh fruit and the restaurant is very cozy and it faces the canal. Monica the host is a lovely lady

We initially planned to stay in the bungalow for just two nights, but after spending only a couple of hours there, we realized that two nights wouldn't be enough, so we ended up staying the entire weekend. It turned out to be the best getaway of our lives, far away from the hustle and bustle of noisy, big cities, surrounded by nature. The friendly staff welcomed us with fresh fruits, and they continued to bring fruits every time we dined at the restaurant. The food they prepared was incredibly delicious; we ate exclusively there! The day before our trip, an a/c gave me a cold, and I arrived with a terrible cough. The staff brought me hot water with ginger and honey several times a day, such caring attention that pleasantly surprised me. They literally cured my cough; a huge thank you! And the icing on the cake is the cat that lives on the premises. He became so attached to us, spending entire days with us and even sleeping at night. An unexpected dose of feline therapy, just what we needed! The hospitality and service were outstanding; we enjoyed it immensely. It was hard to leave, and we really hope to come back for a longer stay someday. Words cannot express how satisfied and grateful we truly are. P.S.: Also, just a 15-minute drive away, there's a wonderful spa (Nibi Spa) with a eucalyptus sauna and one of the best massages I've ever had. Highly recommend a visit.

Tropical oasis right by the river - free kayaking

I enjoyed my stay at Retro Kampot very much. The accomodating, family like atmosphere make it hard to leave the place. The rooms/bungalows were top notch clean and very comfy. They offer breakfast and lunch/dinner and the food was always very delicious. It's also a great place for working remotely with excellent Wifi connection. I enjoyed the free kayaking on the river right by the guesthouse. The landscape is absolutely stunning, I haven't kayaked through such a beautiful surrounding before! I was traveling alone, so one of the staff joined me on the kayak, which was really lovely. Besides that the guesthouse also offers organized tours in Kampot. Can highly recommend this stay and I will gladly come back! :-)

So relaxing and accomodating, definetly reccomend

The free kayaks and the staff were amazing (always bring you water when you sat down, put a fan on you to help keep you cool, super accomodating!) and the location was perfect for relaxation, as able to sit down and have a meal in between nature and the river

It is quite far away from the main town if thats what youre after

The food served is delicious, the room was clean and comfortable. The free kayak was an amazing bonus. Staff were very helpful and friendly and organized scooter hire and tuk tuks into town.

Although we didn't mind, the location is a 10 minute ride out of the centre of kampot.

Peaceful riverside location & free kayaks

We loved our stay here and the hosts are very helpful and generous people We were greeted with chilled water and a bowl of refreshing tropical fruit with free use of kayaks, recommend sunset - allow 2hrs for the Green Loop Italian restaurant nextdoor is excellent for pizza & pasta (9 months travelling we couldn't resist, this is the best we had outside of Europe as owner is Italian), equally food served by accommodation is delicious and good value as the portion sizes are huge! Effective fans & wifi, comfortable bed with mozzy net and very relaxing hammocks...we should have booked an extra night just to sit and relax for 1 more day!
