The Bathrooms were nice, even though the drain was clogged.

Many things. Our first room had scaffolding covering the view from the window. after complaining we got a similar room 8 floors up. Unfortunately the lighting didn't work correctly. They use programmed scenes like "relax" or "bright". But it was only possible to either turn on all bright lights (very white) or a single table lamp. After complaining again we were moved again to different room. The lighting was still not programmed right but we were tired and gave up. We woke up to 83 degrees even though we fully turned the AC on cooling during the entire night and it was impossible to crack a window. After this very uncomfortable night we checked out and asked for a refund. This was denied because it was a pre paid stay through booking.com. Booking.com was helpful and paid a small refund to apologize but The Refinery still does not cooperate. Very disappointing.

I'm so happy to stay at Refinery Hotel again for my trip in Dec 2023

I'm very grateful that Refinery Hotel takes my special request seriously to have hotel room ready for my early check-in.

Not a complain but it will be even better if hotel room can be more spacious as it is hard for me to open 2 big luggage in same time.

Highly recommend!! Friendly staff and excellent rooms.

Good location, lovely big room. Comfortable beds. Very nice shower. The hotel text to see if you wanted anything which was a really nice touch. Friendly staff. Really nice that you could get tea & coffee in the morning and wine at the evening. Highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is near Time Square so its busy outside at night time. Its a very noisy location, but we asked for ear plugs for sleeping and that did the job.

Great location, staff and food.

Shower was the best ever, bed was superbly comfortable. Restaurants were fabulous both in terms of quality of food and service. Staff were attentive at all times but never over bearing. Wonderful

Room was a little small and basic, but we didn't spend much time in it !

Location and comfort

We loved the place and location. Close by everything in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back the next time we come.

If I had to say anything which isn't a big deal is that rolling the luggage on the carpet was somewhat difficult haha. Also I was surprised there wasn't someone at the front door all the time to help open the door for people to come in and out especially when they had their hands full.

I really like the size of the room and the high ceilings.

For more than $ 1000,- per night I expected furniture and bathroom to be in top shape, the room however looked shabby, worn and in need of attention!

The room itself was worn out. Frayed edges on rugs, shower temp was difficult to regulate due to tight turning fixtures.

Location

For over $800/ night I was denied 1 hour later check up time. The on site rooftop restaurant was unavailable. The 2nd restaurant had no open space for a solo diner staying the hotel. No effort was made to accommodate.
