Hidden Gem

A beautiful house and very comfortable house with private pool and it's own cave in close proximity to Rabat and Mdina. Great outdoor area and balcony to have sundowners on. A good selection of restaurants nearby in Rabat and Mdina.

No reflection on the property itself but it was on a relatively busy road which was a shortcut between towns so a little noisy. Take bug spray, the Maltese mosquitoes are vicious!

Overall comfortable and we enjoyed our stay . Shame about niggley bits above.

Furnished to a good standard. Lovely terrace area.

On a busy road on a bend. Farm workers constantly parking on driveway, making entry and exit inconvenient and unsafe. One bedroom had its bathroom on a different level. Only one umbrella to share between the terrace and pool area which was on a different level.

gorgeous, very well equipped and clean.

property owner would call very strictly upon seeing an extra car parked up front and immediately conjuring up images of a party and that we are more guests than we should be (we never were, in fact we were less). When he would call he would have a negative attitude and a very poor and shocking reaction to when I told him we were Maltese. disappointed to say the least.

The house was very nice, very comfortable, well stocked, well lit. Everything worked as it should. Nice balcony.

The location is a little bit off, though would be fine if you have a car. Not good sidewalks on the road to town. The road going by is busy in the mornings and it's a bit noisy if that bothers you, but this doesn't effect the one bedroom in the back

The villa was beautiful, spacious, airy and bright. we also loved the rustic exterior. The vaulted ceilings and high beams just added to its character.

The road its on is very busy. it was hard to sleep past 7am as traffic could easily be heard whizzing by. Also pulling out of the driveway turning right could be a little hair raising due to the blind spot.

Should have been lovely but was so disappointing

Lots of space, lots of potential.

Accommodation for 6 people. But only 5 mugs, 5 pasta bowls, 4 small bowls. 1 wine glass. No bread knife, only 1 small sharp knife. On terrace, seating for only 4, by pool only 2 sunbeds. Room for only 4 maybe 5 at a push seating in living area. Bedroom door on master and double didn't shut, had to use a bin to keep it closed. Same with downstairs bathroom but had to use a large bottle of water due to step. Rug in hallway alive with large black ants. Dirty pan in the oven including left over chips. When reported and photo sent, was promised cleaning fee to be refunded, 11 days since I returned home and still no refund. Told I'll do it soon! No beach/pool towels although advertised as available. No toiletries, except dodgy liquid soap and little round soap on basins. No advice/instructions regarding use of oven, washing machine or when to put out rubbish. No tourist information ie places of interest etc., local grocery store, local restaurants. Pool went green by end of 1 week stay, rendering unusable last couple of days. I think that just about covers it.

Air conditioning in all of the bedrooms and living room. 3 great sized bathrooms and bedrooms, sun-trap roof terrace and lovely dipping pool. Fridge freezer to keep water and drinks cool. Excellent location near to Mdina.
