the location of the hotel is very good , in the old town

we paid 50% up front for our stay on the 29th of june .when arriving on the !st of October the receptionist was hostile and refused to accept that we had made our upfront payment . the only way of getting our rooms was by paying for them all over again, when getting back to the UK ,I raised a complaint with booking .com, I was sent a form to fill in that does not accept the dates given ,so a waste of time . Down 124.00 on the booking even though I have all the proof. Overall RUBBISH

The Hotel is in a great location in the old part of Split and just behind the harbour's promenade. Our room was very comfortable and the staff very helpful but the breakfast is served in another hotel which is a pleasant walk along the seafront, but it's not made clear in the information when booking.

The hotel should make it clear that it doesn't have it's own dining room. Breakfast was fairly basic.

Having stayed at another hotel a few months before we felt that this one wasn't value for money.

Location was excellent. We didn't have breakfast because another guest advised against it being poor value for money.

A few things like the safe battery was flat, the air con controller's battery was also flat. The staff were prompt in sorting it out but these are things that should have been checked.

A beautiful old hotel in a perfect location

We love the location and we loved the fact that it was an old building and that we had a terrace to look over the old town We would highly recommend the pasta restaurant under the umbrellas, just outside the door of the hotel

If you were not physically able you would find the stairs to the left a little bit difficult There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, and the coffee in the room comes in a sachet, which already has dried milk and sugar in it. So if you want to black coffee you cant

Perfect location in Old Town to explore Split.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was 'vintage'/modern and nice. Our room on the 1st floor had no view, but that was not an issue. They have a rooftop patio with a 360 view of the Old Town. Their location is the key positive. You are right in the center of things, with a good pizza taverna (and a gelato stand) just a few steps away. If you are arriving by boat or bus, and have no car to park, you will have a great place.

Our negative experience was due to having a rental car. If you are not driving a car and in need of a parking space, then our pain does not apply to you. The staff did put in effort to get us one of their 'spaces', but they are located quite far from the actual room (ours was 1 km away, up a steep hill, in a residential area). We began our travels in Dubrovnik, and had we known of this parking difficulty, we would have postponed our car pickup until the day we departed Split! Like I said, the staff was effortful in their attempt to help us out, but the result was painful. Also the breakfast experience was meager. We got vouchers to eat at their other sites just outside the Old Town, but the offerings were sparse, the space to serve yourself was the size of an airplane bathroom, and they had very few places to sit.
