Superb

We had a great stay that has left a really nice memory from our trip. The location is excellent, the bathroom very nice and even though the room was a bit cold, we could change it in no time with the thermostat.

Fantastic location, but hotel doesnt live up to the standards of mainland Spain paradores.

The location is absolutely marvellous. Being the only hotel in de teide national park, makes the parador a very privileged place to stay. Breakfast is good, tasty coffee. Comfy beds.

- No vegetarian main courses! For a hotel that advertises its sustainability, this is incomprehensible and unacceptable. - We were staying for 7 nights, but it was the same menu all that time. Not even a special menu for Christmas. We ended up going for dinner elsewhere most evenings. - Over and above the previous points, the dinner wasnt all that great. -We were there for 7 days, but it was very anonymous. Staff didnt recognize us. Some of the staff were kinda grumpy. Cleaners were always friendly though! - I joined a stargazing night, but it was all in Spanish only. No one even bothered to ask if everybody understood Spanish. (I do, but my partner doesnt.) - The location is great, but also extremely touristy. Dont expect a quiet retreat. - There is a building with a small swimming pool in the garden, but when we wanted to go there it was locked for unknown reasons.

Superb

Lovely hotel near the vulcano, comes with parking , very good size room. The night was very comfy with no noise. We had breakfast included and dinner. We were surprised at how good the dinner was , more like a 4 star restaurant same for the hotel, definitely more than 3 star service and facilities.

Good hotel in the mountains, but don't expect a good night's sleep

Great location for nature lovers and mountain climbers. Good hotel restaurant. A wide-screen TV is available in the hotel room, which can also be connected to a smartphone to view the taken pictures and videos.

The staff doesn't speak English well, it's difficult to sleep at night because the hotel is located at least 2000m above sea level and therefore there is little oxygen available. Poor ventilation in the toilet, no toilet brush. The furniture and fixtures looked worn, and be aware that there may be a hospital-style metal bed on wheels hidden under the bed's mattress, which may start rolling if the brakes are not applied. To access the sauna and pool, you have to go to another building next to the hotel.

Fantastic views day and night.

Superb location. Our room had a view of Mount Tiede. After a lovely dinner we went outside to look at the sky. I wish we had been better equipped to move further out of the area of light pollution from the parador. Even so, the amount of stars to be seen was mesmerising and the main reason for our stay. Waking up in the morning and watching the sun catch There was a bonus. Fabulous views over Las Canadas. The museum next to the cafeteria is also a must, a great moving display of the night sky and video display of a volcano erupting.

Breakfast is expensive if you only want a light one, it's 20 euros.

Superb

Beautiful hotel in amazing location

Location amazing. Stunning views including the night sky. Staff were polite and efficient and we enjoyed being able to practice our Spanish with them. The food was very good. The reception areas, bar and seating areas for guests is beautiful. Appreciated the big open fire and sofas for after dinner drink.

A couple of things didnt work in the room - plug socket for kettle didnt work, door handle to balcony fell off every time we tried to open the door. Didnt spoil our stay but for the price I think these things should be sorted.
