Exceptional

Great stay

Staff super friendly & helpful, clean, safe & comfy beds, shower was super great. View was amazing watched the swans in the morning. Hot tub on the roof was super fun, nice bonus. Great lemonade/raspberry at the front desk & of coarse the hot cookies at check in!

Very good

We had a lovely time exploring the city and surrounding areas.

Location was beautiful. The coffee was very good. An ice cream parlor was very close.

The restaurant was closed. The pool and hot tub were across the street. The floor of our room was very wonky.

Hotel was fine, not bad, not great but not worth the price paid

The hotel is in a great location and staff was friendly.

The rooms are very small, especially considering the price. There were also a few areas not cleaned well.

The night we arrived, we found the desk person a bit gruff in her manner. She was short with us and very "matter of fact". It wasn't a good beginning. However, the next morning the staff was pleasant and very helpful.

A Wonderful Stay

The room was great! It was quaint, clean, cozy, and comfortable. The view was wonderful. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. While the hotel is not in Newport, it is literally just outside of the border. The hustle and bustle of Newport was close but not too close. For me, that made the location perfect. The staff was wonderful and friendly. I very much enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is right on a busy roadway so the traffic seemed very noisy to me at first. The sounds from the room above me were easily heard (thumping, walking sounds, not voices). Thankfully, the guests quieted down at a reasonable hour so I could sleep. The pool, spa, and restaurant were closed for maintenance and remodeling. I was disappointed but didn't really miss them.

The location was good. Beach was across the street and enough places to eat, including a brewery within walking distance. Walking another 2 miles will put you on the cliff walk and an additional 2 more miles you'll find yourself in downtown Newport.

The room was comfortable and included a jacuzzi. The bathroom was small, and its configuration didn't help. The towel rack fell off the wall, and plastic cups were not provided. One-half of the security latch was missing, so any employee with a key can enter if you're in the room. The indoor pool is slightly larger than a bathtub. There is a bar conveniently located in the lobby. However, it's not open or used at all. I was told I got a great deal on the room, 700/night?? I stayed in the historic building, which definitely showed its history :(

The hotel room and view even though I paid 768 for 1 night it was worth it

When I got there I went to the front desk the lady there was amazing. I gave her my credit card she checked me in, my bank sent me a notification that 768 dollars was taking out of my account from newport Beach hotel. Then I checked out the next day and I didn't owe a balance so I went home. As am driving I get a call from the manager saying I didn't pay for my hotel room, so I called my bank with him on 3 way and my bank told him that they already charged me. He got so upset and started to yell and just hung up on me. I sent him my bank statement on his email and he still gave me an attitude and was very unprofessional
