Disappointing

An otherwise acceptable (if rather expensive) hotel, spoilt by poor restaurant hygiene/cleanliness.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Main complaint was that, despite staff appearing to wipe them, tables in the breakfast area were all sticky....yuck! Breakfast menu options were also rather limited, considering the price, as were the choice of draft beers in the bar.

We truly enjoyed the time we spent there and highly recommend it.

The location was close to everything we wanted to see. The staff were excellent and friendly.

Would have liked to have been able to unpack our suitcases but there was no dresser, only hangers.

Catfish hotel....one star

Early Check In

Dirty and outdated rooms. Rooms smelt of damp. Expensive breakfast (19.50 pp daily) that had hardly any options, was always out of bacon, mostly self service for fried and boiled eggs.

Very happy and enjoyed being in Bordeaux for an evening by the river.

Original standard room not to our liking but subsequent upgrade (for an additional cost) was much better

Restaurant menu in the evening was somewhat limited. Instructions for arriving with a car were seemingly non existent. We had to park half on the pavement half in a bus lane whilst one of us went inside to establish where the underground car park was located and to obtain the code. If more than one, two or more cars arrived at the same time without knowing the procedure for parking, and having been pre advised the code, there would be potential chaos in the road outside the entrance of the hotel.
